WEll we have gotten a fairly good share of snow already here in Minnesnota and winter is still a few days away officially. Now I use a snowblower for the most part when clearing my long and wide driveway. The problem starts when we get a LOT of snow throughout the season as it has started off so far this December. There have been years where the snowblower could not shoot the snow high enough to land inj the yard the pile was so high on the yard. This is a small pile in my back yard and still has room. But with the forecast of a colder and snowier winter than normal I once again will be trying to find places to shoot the snow with my snowblower. Do you ever get so much snow you run out of room along the side of the house, garage, and yard for the snow to go?

It sounds so beautiful where you are.How do you cope with the snow and how do you get about. One small snowfall in England the schools shut ,the roads blocked and everything grinds to a halt. The country cannot function and sometimes we lose power so how on earth do you cope with such heavy snowfalls.merry christmas.

I have always lived in a snowy area so driving is second nature to us in the snow. I love the snow and cold and always have actually. With the recent blizzard there were some school closings but most started 2 hours late was all. It takes a couple feet to shut down my area actually. On Halloween day 1991 we actually got 48 inches, yes 4 feet, of snow in a 24 hour period. That shut down a lot of cities etc. That was a beautiful strom too.

We don't seem to have that problem with our apartment area. I don't think we get half as much snow as you get there. Stay warm!

We got four more inches last night and it was so fluffy you can't believe it....it was light and pretty. I haven't ever ran out of room...my neighbor just keeps shoving it into my back yard. I hope we don't get any wind as this new stuff will certainly fly and cause lots of problems.

It was so light and fluffy here as well.
That's due to the low temps actually.
We got about 3 inches yesterday.
I love it.

I love seeing snow really deep.
It makes one wonder about, and be amazed at mother natures workings.

Nope. Not the North Pole but feels like it sometimes.
I love the snow and cold a lot.
But then I miss my gardening and flowers etc.
Spring is just around the corner I guess.
