Are there any horror book lovers out there?

And who are your favorite authors? I love Stephen King, of course, and Dean Koontz, though he's mostly gotten away from the kind of horror he used to write. I also love the late Richard Laymon (he really isn't for the faint of heart) and I'm getting into John Saul. I'm reading one of Saul's books now, Perfect Nightmare.
Some books I'd recommend are Misery and It by Stephen King, Body Rides and Darkness Tell Us by Richard Laymon, and An Oral History of World War Z (I forget who that's by)
Has anyone read any of those?

Yes I'm a real big fan of horror books and I generally don't like reading fiction unless it is a horror story. I've read my share of Stephen King and Dean Koontz but I haven't read any by those other two. Is Richard Laymon a writer that you would highly recommend because I'm always looking for new books to read. Have you read any books about Jack The Ripper because his story is pretty gruesome and horrifying.

Hi Opalina, I enjoy reading horror stories from John Saul and Stephen King. I have also read collections of short horror stories from Pan and Fortuna, plus Alfred Hitchcock collections. I've not seen these books for many years - they were really very interesting.
