it is also one of the seven wonders of the medieval world.

Dear friend,
I had hear many love stories and love movies and among them Romeo and Juliet was more often liked and like movies liked were Titanic and Notebook. But in real life a real love story I admire the story behind Taj Mahal and love between Shajahan and Mumtaz is really unforgettable when one Taj Mahal and who know the story behind it. A real love story that is really touching.

I agree that Taj mahal is really awesome story of love but one poet said that by building up a Taj Mahal for his love a king have ruined the love of all poor men. Maybe poor men have much more love and feelings but he cant build up something like Taj to impress his beloved.
I think most great love stories always happen in our surroundings we need to discover them and encourage them instead of appreciating existing ones. Soo many silent lovers are around us.

poor men love in whatever way they can, that does not take away from the taj mahal or them because love is an affair of the heart, not the money.

Wow that was an amazing story. I will plead ignorance because I never knew the the story behind the taj mahal. It is a great love story. Right this minute at 4:16 in the morning I can't recall alot of the love stories. Well, besides Julia and Romeo
But that has little significance of a story of this magnitude. I prefer this one first.

Mine would have to be based off a book that was later made into a movie. The book is called The Notebook, I can watch the movie over and over again. A man finds his true love, but she has to go back home. He doesn't know that her mother is hiding the letters that he sent her, and he enlists in the military. He comes back, to fix up the home of his dreams. While this is happening, she met another and fell in love and was about to get married until she saw his picture in the newspaper and had to see him. Later in the future, you see a older lady that's losing her memory, and a older gentleman that's helping her at least to remember some things. I don't know if the book is based on the author's grandparents or not, but to me it's a wonderful tale of love.

I think the "history" forgot to mention the following: The Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful architectural works in the world, was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Construction started in1634 and was competed 22 years later. Built at an enormous cost (equivalent to more than $500 million by today's market price for gold), it employed a huge workforce — probably not slaves — that labored under harsh and dangerous conditions for measly pay — and there were no bonuses at the end. Much to the contrary: "So delighted was Shah Jahan with the result, that he ordered that the hands or thumbs of many of the builders be amputated, so that they'd never be able to build a monument more perfect than his wife's mausoleum."

the history did mention Shah Jahan and mumbaz mahar, it did say it took 22 years and it talked even about where the two met and under what conditions,
no article is going to capture every single piece written on an subject unless perhaps it is a full blown book.

I think this is a lovely story, and it is definitely a classic.
I quite like tragic love stories like Romeo and Juliet. When told properly a true love story really should make you cry. Another classic book I like is Jane Eyre, with love being one its themes. Always makes me cry that one.
