If you had your own school, or a school invitedx you over, and you could teach any thing you wanted, what you teach? It can be a standard subject or just something you like. For example, a gardening class.

I would definitely be teaching dance, as I am working towards a professional career in it, and I have some experience teaching it, and know how rewarding it can be. I would probably teach it in a slightly different manner than it is usually being taught. A lot of professionals think that you have to start young to reach the top. I am living proof that that is not at all the truth, and I have known several other people who fit that description as well. And yet these stigmas and stereotypes make other professionals critique you more harshly and also lead other people to throwing away their dreams because they never see a real achiever in the field who was not the cookie-cutter dancer. It is also hard in this business for these non-traditional types (late starters, etc.) to find the right kind of support, and I would love to play that role. I really want to break this stereotype, and instead (in addition to teaching them the quintessential technique and performance aspect) teach my students that whatever your dream is, you should go for it, no matter what other people say, I mean, look at our groundbreakers in history and think where they would have been if they said, "There's no use even working towards this because nobody's ever done it before." I think it is just as important to be a great motivator and mentor as it is to be a great teacher, and that is not something I see often, and it especially doesn't often happen to students that are "different" in some way, and yet still have big dreams like everyone else. So if I was a teacher, I would indeed want to teach my dancers to keep "dancing toward the stars," so to speak... whoever they are. You never know what it might bring you - even if you don't get what you want, you might get something even better in the long run...
