OMG I hadn't even heard that she was pregnant again. I don't understand how she can still be having babies this is absolutely crazy LOL "Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of Tontitown, Ark., had their eighteenth child Thursday – Jordyn-Grace Makiya, who joins the rest of her J-named siblings. Jordyn-Grace was born via C-section at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, weeks before her due date of Jan. 1. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 3 oz and was 20 inches long." http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20247340,00.html What do you think about having that many kids?

first off let me just say, congratulations to the Duggar family on the arrival of their newest bundle of joy. I've seen this family on TV and can't believe how many kids they have. I personally have nothing against a large family like that after seeing how organized they are. It's as if everyone pitches in and does a little something to keep things running smoothly and they all seem well mannered, friendly, polite ... much of what we consider good qualities and ideals, exists in these children - even the youngest ones. I find that amazing! My concern is the tole this must take on the woman's body. Other than that, I'm glad it's her and not me

I agree and am very thankful it is not me lol It must be taking a tole on her body that seems like too many pregnancies. I wonder if doctors have told her to stop?

OK, I just did the math She's 42 years old -- that's 2,184 weeks (up until her birthday in September) Plus another 14 weeks (from mid September to late December - roughly) Total:2198 weeks 18 pregnancies at 40 weeks each: 720 weeks She's only had 1478 weeks where she wasn't expecting -- and many of those weeks, she was a child herself.

I admire her for having so many kids, but how on earth does she pay for them all. What about all that washing, and how on earth does she give them all enough attention and love.I could manage three over thirty years and that wore me out, taking them to clubs, pocket money, toys, clothes ect.Making sure they were doing their homework ,I suppose the oldest look after the youngest but it seems a bit unfair, the oldest kids are parents and carers so young,no it would not do for me,for a start she must have all the calcium from her bones drained, she must be worn out. This is an honest answer and probably won't go to well.merry christmas.xxx

Ya know I totally agree with you. I don't think they think it is unfair because they were probably brought up in a similar family and back in those days that's how it was. My mother is the eldest of 7 girls and in grade 8 she was pulled out to help her mom with the kids. I agree it is unfair but that's how it was back then. As I have said how can her body handle so many babies. There has to be a point where she shouldn't have anymore kids. It can't be healthy. Thank You for your response.

Oh I know I could never either. I don't understand how it can even be healthy for her to have so many.
