Well here is a shot showing the results of snowblowing my driveway. This shows my dryer vent which I had to dig put from this 3 and a half foot drift. I love the effect from the heat from the dryer vent as it melts the snow around it as well. I am now going to be blowing the snow onto the side of the drive I don't use. I have a 2 car garage and use just one stall for my one car so I have room for a mountain to be blown there. Does your dryer vent ever get snow covered from shoveling etc in the winter months? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well thank you very much. I am an active member of A.A. and have learned to lead my life One Day At A Time. So that is why I am mostly positive each day. I don't like; nor need stress; etc ruining my day, and, possibly my nearly 18 years of sobriety. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi Grandpa B, I have not tried doing that..we had some snow last winter but it melts fast at the end of the day... We don't get a lot this time and hopefully, not ever! LOL! I love seeing snow but not to the point of going out and shoveling, it's very cold! LOL!

Well, as cold as it's been here it will take a lot more than a few days of sunshine to melt all this snow. It's not that bad out when you bundle up warmly in layers. I do it and I am not frozen and have never gotten any frostbite. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I was so excited when we had our snow I didn't even think of the dryer vent or even the dryer as far as that goes. haha It does sound like you have a lot of room to pile more snow.

Yeah it gets covered from me blowing the snow in that area. Have to keep that area open for the heat to escape and not cause it to come back inside. It helps melt some of the mountain as well when it's cleared out. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

No mine just gets cover from the snow all by it's self. I keep it cleaned out. The one thing I do check to make sure that it is kept clean both out and inside. Your friend onlydia

yeah I am slowly running out of room actually. I have a large area along side the house and garage. But the blower only blows it so far then it makes a mountain so high it won't blow it on it anymore. I could shovel the mountains down but that's a lot of work. As it gets warmer I do that though to make more room. For now it sits where it is due to the artic temps etc. I am not doing anything today. Getting a few more inches tonight and tomorrow morning though. So I'll be out there in the afternoon on Tuesday. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My dryer vents onto the patio. Goofy, I know, but it keeps it away from the snow. Looks like you had a pretty good snowfall!

I can honestly say my dryer vent has never gotten covered from shoveling snow during the winter months. That si kind hard when I live where it doesn't snow. But I am sure it is a concern in places where it snows. It is a great tip to remind others.

my dryer vent doesn't get buried-it's too high up on the house. but the moisture coming out of it does make icicles underneath sometimes though, that looks pretty cool.

Thats alot of snow and of course i never have to worry about that thankfully..but it would be neat to see the dryer vent melt the snow..How's the Snowblower doing?

That is a cool looking picture I know what you mean by running out of room to put the snow. We're we live in an apartment building the vent is up high enough that it dosn't get buried but the snow is piled everywhere it's nuts. I'm thinking spring right about now what about you?
