Celebrity Encounters

I have been blessed to meet some folks in my time. Jesse Jackson when he was running for President back around 1984; I met Randy Travis while stationed in Korea. Nice likeable fella; we chatted a bit and I told him how I liked his song Forever and Ever Amen. Went to one of our concerts here in Mobile, and was real close to Ms Patti Labelle. didn't get to meet her but I was so close to touching her. No lie. I met a couple of African American writers in my time as well. E.Lynn Harris,Kimberla Lawson Roby among others.

I have met some country singers does this count. I have met the Kinleys, The Wilkinsons, Linda Davis, Ricochett, and I have also met some Christian artists like the Martins, Mark Schultz, Avalon, Joy Williams, and FFH. It is pretty cool I got to talk to them and get my picture taken with them.

I've met Tony Dungy back when he was still coaching the Bucs. He used to coach the girls track team at University of South Florida and we practiced where they practiced and one day they all showed up and he was there! Me and my friend went up to him, told him that he was a great coach no matter what anyone said and we shook his hand:) It was awesome, especially since I am one of the biggest Bucs fans EVER!!!
