I have posted in an earlier discussion that I have visited Auberge de Castille. The crib is made by the cloistered nuns. This crib was built over the past fourteen years and the materials used are all reused and recycled. I remained impressive at wha you can do with recycled items.

The crib sounds like it must be beautiful! It must have been very expensive too! That castle sounds beautiful too and I hope you took plenty of pictures of it. Right now I can't seem to think of what I used to recycle in the past. I don't seem to reuse things like I used to anymore. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I am no longer amazed as I watch shows and read articles that show how this can be done. How imaginative are humans? It is wonderful!

I have seen on television commercial that they had made clohting out of recycled coke bottles I think they said http://current.com/items/88896691/coke_launches_clothing_line_made_from_plastic_bottles.htm http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/feb/24/plasticbags.ethicalliving?gusrc=rss&feed=networkfront But that is great that they could make a crib of recycled stuff.

Lots of wonderfull things can be done with recycled materials. We can only hope that more and more people will take the time and effort to do so, because we can make the earth a saver, healthier and cleaner place for our children to grow up with. You don't want to leave your children out on a planet that is consumed by it's own garbage.. yuck

It is amazing that people have such bright ideas. These nuns did the whole crib out of recycled material.

I am all for recycling items whenever possible. I recently found out about recycable toothbrushes. Only after one of my kids choose that toothbrush when we were shopping for new toothbrushes. I thought it was pretty cool.

Well hopefully the crib was checked to make sure it is safe for a baby to be in. I was hoping to see a picture of the actual crib :-( I wonder what the materials are that they reused to make the crib.

yes you can recycle just about anything and it good for the environment to recycle rather to just waste. We throw away so much and waste so much.

That sounds interesting.. lol =D But there are alot more things that are built using recycled products.. So it's no longer unique after all.. What amazed me was the amount of time they spent in building it.. haha AFter all, all the materials they used are free and thus it should be quite a sight as wel.. lol =D Actually there are mnay things one can do as long as we know how to reuse and recycle them..

I am not sure if you mean a crib or a manger by that? It looks to me as to be a manger, but I only took a quick glance at it. I think that anything used for recycling is a good thing. So many people throw away that of which could be reused. One's man trash is another man's treasure, you know that's a good saying.

Hello ronaldinu Wow that does sound impressive I would have liked to have seen that myself. I think it is great that people can be so creative and make things out of other people's unwanted items!
