Do you also find the "today's top discussions" unappealing?

Now before anyone jumps on me with this one, let me first clarify, that I think the discussions in the "today's top discussion" section are not meaningless in any way, they are quite wholesome, and interesting in their own way. However, I always find myself steering away from replying to them for some reason. I go through all 10 pages, most of the time, searching for something I can respond to, but I never can. Instead, when I go through discussions with "no responses" I tend to immediately get lucky and find something that I do want to discuss. Of course, I still have to search for it carefully, because a lot many of the discussions in that category, have no responses, for a reason. Maybe I don't find top discussions appealing because there are so many replies to it already, that I feel nothing I say, can add more to the already discussed. Or maybe it's something else, I really can't put my finger on it. Do you feel the same way, whether it's always, only often, or only sometimes? Do you find yourself, shying away, from the top discussions, and looking for the lesser known ones?

Sometimes one of the top discussions will catch my eye and I will respond to it. But usually I just go directly to my interests and topics my friends started. This way I know there is a better chance of getting a response and continuing the discussion.

I am lucky today because you only put up two (2) question marks and not more than that. Thank you for providing me a such decent and meaningful discussion as it is totally on mylotting activity of subject. Give me 5, vega83 and cheers, as well. Do you feel the same way, whether it's always, only often, or only sometimes? There is a logic factors on your standing and decision making that I observed in your statements for which one is the best subject of discussion for you to make entry. OK - now my turn to tell about mine. Only sometimes I felt like what you feel about it. My first intention is to respond to all my friends' posted discussions and top or hot discussion is never my priority. As I always having a 'bunch' of myLot discussion email notifications in my email inbox. Do you find yourself, shying away, from the top discussions, and looking for the lesser known ones? I think my answer in your first question as my prominent answer to this, second question. Happy Posting, Vega83. My Quote For Today; "Be good to myLot and take good from it".

I must admit that they do not really appeal to me either, but that could be I just feel like talking about specific things at certain times.

Sometimes a few of the top discussions will catch my eye but they're also likely to have a lot of responses already and I don't really want to read through two or three pages of responses to make sure I'm not repeating someone else. I tend to check the discussions that my friends have started, also "new" and "no responses" along with the categories that pass by at the top of my screen.

Yes there were times I don't find any interesting thing w/ the top discussions here. What I did is to browse all of them and when I find topics that interests me then I reply but if none then I'll just skip. I always look for the top discussion because I'd rather enjoy replying or responding to some discussions than posting my own.

Some of the top discussions are boring sometimes, some have so many answers that there's nothing to add at all.I check my interest category first, then my friends discussions, then the top ones.About those with zero responses.. some of them are very interesting and require more efforts to answer, so it's worth to check that category.

I also feel the same way. The top discussions already have a lot of responses and I have read the responses and they are for the most part what I would have said. But their are times I find something worthwhile to say. So I generally go to the discussions with no responses are ones that have a small amount and respond to those,

Ya most of the times i feel that the discussion is so unappealing but people have really liked it and have commented on that and i think that it is only due to them that many useless and stupid discussions fall into todays top discussions and many good discussions are left over and i have seen some discussion which are very nice and coul have got that chance but miss it by some worse discussions..many people over here dont care for the subject hence they care for the writings..happy mylotting..

Hello vega83, Honestly, I never checked today's top discussion. I always respond through my email notifications. I have many old discussions waiting for me to respond as I am quite inactive nowadays. Sometimes, I do feel that I have no mood to respond at all as I find that most topics already covered or I already responded earlier. But given a choice, I prefer light discussions as I don't have to spend too much time on a discussion and won't get head ache to think of the answer

Same here, I find that discussions with so many responses don't appeal to me anymore. It may be because most of the times, I have the same idea with those who responded and responding with the same thought only lengthens the discussion.

Hi vega83! I really don't respond to top discussions so I really don't have any idea right now if they are interesting or not. I just respond to discussions in my friends' list because of the limited time I have right now in the computer. Take care..and have a nice day! God Bless! lovelots..faith210

Actually I can understand where you are coming from. I like to visit this site fairly regularly when I can and sometimes I can take a break from it. There are times that I have a hard time finding something to post or respond to. I can find something right away sometimes and other times I am just at a loss and find myself wandering all around the myLot site for something good to reply to. Good luck to you vega.
