Goodbye 2008.... I hope 2009 is MUCH better!

Was 2008 as bad for you as it was for me? Are you hopeful that 2009 will bring something better for you and your family?
2008 was one of the worst years for me. We lost our home. My husband changed careers and is making less money. The ecomony is horrible in our world and it's affecting us in so many ways. There were also a number of little issues that popped up and added to my stress levels.
One bright spot was that I found a job. After being a stay at home mom for a number of years, I'm finally back out earning money. It's not the type of job I would have normally looked for, it kinda fell in my lap .. and it's much less of a paycheck than I made when I worked before, but every little bit helps so I'm not complaining about that.
I just really REALLY hope 2009 is a better year because I do not think I could handle another bad year after what I just went through.
What about you? Was 2008 a bad year for you? Why? Please share, maybe you'll feel better if you write it out and let it go.

Well 2008 was both good and bad for me. I got the one thing that I had yearned fourteen years for....to move out of th small, rural town in which we were trapped! Hubby and I both found new jobs in a much larger metropolitan area 3 hours north. My mother and father who lived next door to us in the small city were going to make the move too (they had followed us there when we moved there for jobs) and they were very excited to move. Eight weeks before we were to move, my father passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. He was not ill in any way. So the move became a nightmare. We are settled and I am adjusting to life without my father. So as you can see, it was a good and bad year.
