Another movie that I just watched recently and wanted to talk about. Has anyone else seen this movie? I'd love to know what you thought of it. I watched it for free online the other day and for almost the whole movie, I was so confused on what was going on. I had seen one preview but I didn't pay much attention to it. Had no clue what the movie was about but I love Will Smith movies so I thought it would be a good one to watch. Let me back up a little and share with all of you that you can watch movies online for free if you go to www.watch-movies.net Anyhow, the whole movie is really strange and I still can't decide if I liked it or not. I'm curious to hear what other people thought of it. I felt like there was more of a backstory that took place prior to the start of the film that is never really revealed by the end of the movie. Sure, some of it was revealed but the whole IRS identity thing was left hanging. The doctor he visits at the beginning of the movie.. that whole thing left me a little confused. Was he a candidate for the organs but showed his real self? Also, the little boy in the hospital that he is staring at.. the one who is obviously battling cancer of some sort - they never tie him into the storyline. Lots of questions and maybe I'm just not connecting the dots (?) If you see this movie, please share your opinions with me. I'd love to hear them!

First of all I want to thank you for the site to watch movies. I have bookmarked it and will go see if I can really watch one of those movies. There were several that I wanted to see but couldn't afford just yet. Then after I have watched 7 pounds I will come back to this discussion and talk to you about it.

You're welcome! I will tell you that the site I posted is a site that links you to the movies via other sites. So, in some cases you can watch the whole movie without any interruptions but on some of the links you can only watch about 2/3 of the movie before you have to stop for about 45 minutes and then go back to continue watching it. It just depends on where the feed is coming from. I have watched several movies on that site and have experienced both types of situations. I'm telling you this because I do not want you or anyone else to be upset if you get into the movie and then have to step away for about an hour before it will let you resume watching it - it happens - but it's free, so in my case.. I don't care as long as I get to see the whole thing without paying a penny or giving any personal information. Enjoy!

No, I have not seen it yet, but I will be going to see it soon. I did hear that that is one of those movies that you would have to watch from the beginning to end to understand it.

Yes, you'll want to pay attention because if you miss any part of it - you'll really be lost. I watched it from start to finish and I'm still confused :) Maybe I need to watch it again - a little closer now that I know how it ends. Thanks for the response!

I just went to see 7 Pounds on Sunday and I liked it a lot but you're right, it was one of those movies where you really have to pay attention to every scene and there were things that were quite confusing until the very end. As for the IRS identity, he apparently took his brother's ID since he was actually Tim and his brother was Ben, the name he used throughout the movie. The doctor at the beginning apparently was a candidate for the organs but was found to be unworthy, deservedly so I thought! The young boy he was staring at ended up getting a bone marrow transplant from him. It WAS very vague but that's what I got from it. Just like the blind man, he called him and gave him a hard time on the phone to see if he what kind of a person he was. Clearly, he "passed" the test. I also hadn't paid much attention to the previews for this movie and it was a last minute decision to see it since my daughter and I had planned on seeing Marley and Me but changed our minds when we heard it had a "harsh" ending. Therefore, I went into the theater not really having any preconceived idea what it was about but I like Will Smith a lot and have never seen him in a bad movie or maybe it's just that he's able to make a mediocre movie a good one! Anyway, I recommend 7 Pounds but I advise anyone who does see it to pay close attention to every moment. It's not a movie to include in multi-tasking because it requires your undivided attention! Thank you Annie! What a great response. I had forgotten about the bone marrow transplate and everything else you have written makes sense. I understood the blind man part, which really confused me in the beginning. Again, I also agree that anyone who sees this needs to pay close attention to everything. I'm glad you responded!

I too was VERY confused. The movie was an hour and 58 minutes long and I think I spent and hour and 53 minutes without a clue what was going on. I am also on the fence about whether or not I enjoyed it. The little boy does tie in but very subtly. That much I did manage to keep up with. I'll PM you so I don't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen it.
