Our cable company (Charter) will no longer be carrying one of our local channels. Kmov 4. We watch alot of shows on that channel. Namely CSI. ANd not to mention our local news. KMOV wanted a penny per customer. Charter says no. Satelite or Direct tv won't work for us because of the growth of our trees as well as a neighbors. Direct tv told us to ask our neighbor to cut down a tree. Yeah like that would work. So we are looking into At&t U verse. Know anything about it?

I don't know of any of the companies that you mentioned, I have heard of them but never had to deal with them.. We have Comcast and while the service is great almost 99% of the time, the fees are going up so high it is impossible to afford them.. Cutting down a tree is a lot for anyone to ask of you.. How many trees did they want cut down so they could make money off of you?? That is ridiculous.. I wish that I could find another cable service provider who wouldn't charge these sky high rates, but this is all that we have for now.. I will read the other responses and see if there is another option for me also.. Good luck to you and Happy New Year!!!!

Comcast and Charter are sister companies. So it doesn't surprise me about the fees.

Seems that is what they are doing with a few of the cable companies, and still charget the same amount. If it was a channel I watched more then the others then yeah I would change it or try to anyhow. I know how hard it is to get neighbors to go along with plans of cutting down their tress since people are partial to their trees sometimes. But it never hurts to ask I guess. I don't know anything about AT&U So I won't be much help there and hope someone can shed some light on it for you so you will be able to watch your Shows. Well good luck and Happy New Year's..

Thanks for the best response I appreciate it alot. Well, I have just noticed yesterday that a few of our channels were missing not the ones we watch often but still we are paying the same price for less channels and it just doesn't seem fair. It said until they reach agreement over it that we will not be able to view the channels we are missings 3 channels.

Sorry, I don't know anything about them. My only choices out here in boonieville are Dish Network and Direct TV. I have Dish Network. We have had issues with trees with it and out internet satellite in the past year.
