The best (and worst) films of 2008. "WALL-E" leads Tom Charity's list of year's best films. Others in top 10: "Appaloosa," "Wrestler," "Benjamin Button". Among the year's worst: "Seven Pounds," "Fool's Gold," latest "Mummy.
Of these the only one I saw was Wall-E.

I've seen Wall-E. It was good, not sure it was the best, but it was good.
I saw Fool's Gold... it was allright, definitly not one of the worst. I want to see Seven Pounds and the Mummy.. I hope they're not as bad as this article claims.
I haven't seen the others that are on the top 10 you mentioned... I haven't even heard of Appaloosa or Wrestler... must not have been that good.

The only one I've seen from either list is "Seven Pounds" and I liked it. Since I haven't seen that many movies this year, or I should say movies that were made in 2008, I can't say for sure if it would be on my year's best list but I know it wouldn't be on my worst - unless it had been a VERY bad year.
I often find myself at odds with the critics though. I guess some of them aren't looking for the same thing in a movie as I am.

I haven't watched none of these movies yet. I have a few I am wanting to see but I have to wait till they come out on DVD since I don't do the movies much.

I'm not really sure. We rent Netflix movies every month but I hardly ever watch a whole movie. None of them are very good these days if you ask me. There are very few of them that I will sit down and watch the whole thing.

I liked the movie Wall-E. I found it quite humorous that people wondered about hidden messages in the movie. I said to my wife, "Hidden what?" I thought the message was rather obvious.
