There is a lot of homeless people in Vegas. Every Corner seems to have at least 1. They have sighns that say "Will work for Food", or "I won't lie I need a Beer". Sometimes I feel bad for the person and I wonder how they ended up that way. Depending on the person I give them change if I have it. Sometimes I give a Dollar if I have a little extra money. Do you give money to panhandlers? That's what they call them here.

i have been on holiday to many states of the US. almost every state i have been to i have seen homeless with signs. i try to help but to be honest there are far to many. if i were to help one, the others on the next corner would come and want help too.

Helping just one is a reward and they are appreciated it is not necessary to take on the world of homeless on your own...

i don't know any homeless people. if there is any here i don't know about them. i do carry elderly people food sometimes. most of the are homeboubd & were my customers at my beauty school. i probably wouldn't give money to a homeless person but would take hin or her to a restaurant & get them something to eat. wouldn't give them money because i'd be afraid they'd but booze w/it.

i don't have alot of money either but i can do that. it doesn't cost that much to get one of the deals at a fast food place. it makes me feel good to help someone.

I don't encounter homeless people in my daily life. I am not saying that there is not in my country but they are not so noticeable. There are charitable institutions who cater for these people. Yes I would try to help them even financially.

hi mylotter, wish you a wonderful new year. Yes, I do give money to the destitute and homeless. I am very tenderhearted and I get easily moved when I come across them. When ever I go to my office, I come across these people cleaning my car when I stop at the signals , I immediately offer them how much ever I could. I some times also visit people sleeping on the roadsides and share them some food or some time I give them away the the used clothes and blankets. thank you for the discussion.

I am much more likely to give money to an organization that helps people. I usually give it to church missions or the Salvation Army. I know that some homeless will not go to church based helps and I am sorry for that, but I don't have a lot to give and I chose to give where I believe it will be used in a constructive way.

I do give money or old clothes or food to them.I know that by giving money we actually indirectly encourage them to beg. But they might be having genuine problems. Thinking about this to be true I give money to them.

Most of the time I don't give charity to these people eventhough I did give a few times in my life. I don't because I don't think it is a proper way to live a panhandlers life, perhaps they have no choice, but I don't think that's the case if you truly have the will power to strive for something in life. Where there's a will, there's a way, I always belived in that. I do pity some of them (especially those who are really sick) and I hate those pretending to be pitiful. Giving money or not a lot depends on how I feel the moment I saw them, it's not an act of thought. Sometimes, I just look at them, I feel their sorrow and pain as if it was my own, I trust my instincts. If my instincts tells me, I can make a difference helping this guy, or, I really should help this one, I'd give them some money.

In my country are thouse too, like in every country. I give them some money, but just thouse who can`t work , because they have some disabilities. Thouse who can work, to work, because we all work hard for money, they can too if they are healthy.

Yes actually, I feel obliged to donate if I see someone more unfortunate than I am. I remember a time where I had just bought an umbrella and I was walking in front of a soup kitchen when it was raining. I immediately gave my umbrella to the closest homeless person without hesitation. I had even just bought it 2 minutes ago. I'm not gunna lie it was one of the most touching moments in my life.
