My daughter had another seizure yesterday!

My daughter has type 1 diabetes and has had it for about 6 years going on 7. We keep her well controlled, but she is only 8 years old. Yesterday morning she had another seizure. This is really scary to me because she just had one in July. That is not very far apart. I am so scared of these seizures as we all know that one day one may cause her not to be her or cause severe damage. She is still in good spirits, but I think that the diabetes is getting to her. I ask that you please pray for her to be strong and for me and my ex husband and our families that we can be knowledgable enough to learn to deal with anything she throws at us.

hello there
As you mentioned ,your daughter is having type 1 DM,she must be under insulin administration. Are you sure that was a seizure or a hypoglycemic attack ?? I mention this as hypoglycemic episodes tend to represent as seizures. Its not uncommon in children to have seizures in childhood as they may be suffering from epilepsy of some type. I recommend you should consult a neurologist & get an Electro encephalogram done for your daughter. Take care of her.

I can not begin to imagine what your daughter, you, and your family must be going through. I will pray for all of you that you are strong through this time! I do hope things get better!

I'm so sorry to heart this very saddening news. I'm also having my child of 7-8 years age and really feeling very bad. How God can be so cruel to make such young children affected by such deadly disease. I sincerely hope that she would recover from her present condition in 2009 and would definitely pray for the same.
