oh really? i teach at school, and really marked wrong when a student has a wrong spelled word. it is a sort of training for them. for in the long run, it is them who will be the one learning from it. i could not imagine the world full of people around who are not that good in spelling. hmmm...

I rarely check my spelling. Every once in a while I do. But I do make mistakes mainly because I type so fast.

I often check my spelling, but it depends on how important the discussion is to me. For instance I might not be concerned if I were talking about video games, but for a topic like religion or other big life issues it just seems more respectful (and intelligent :)

really? so you have your own preferences huh.. i wonder why.. but as for me, i am neutral to both.. if my spelling is wrong for this discussion, the same goes for the other.. i really don't know. but if there is no wrong spelling, then i did it right. the same goes for the mistakes.. hope that there would be an automatic change of spelling eh..
