What is it? The 3rd of January? Yes, its 82º outside right now - almost 4 p.m. Yes, the weather should change tonight, but still, its being TEXAS out there! We did clean out the van this morning, before it got so hot, more about that later. So, what the weather where you are? Oddly HOT like it is in Austin today?

It's always dark in England this time of year. You guys are so far north you really only get a few hours of sunshine. We get closer to 10 hours here in Texas.

Yes, typical Texas weather. I am in Corpus Christi, Tx. and it is about the same here as it is ini Austin. It don't feel too bad outside just very windy at times but it is much nicer inside with the air conditioner on.

So far we've not turned the A.C. on, but we do have the ceiling fans going. It was windy while we were cleaning out the car tho.

We desperately need the rain here, I can take A rainy day or 2, but the weeks of it really get me down.

I know we need the rain, but I hate rainy, winter days. I get very lethargic on those days.

Heyya ElicBxn...82 degrees...wow that is odd. I thought it was odd here last Sunday at 74. I'm in Morristown Tennessee. It's cooled back down here to about 45 but I was running around with a pair of shorts on last Sunday! I can't remember it ever being that warm at this time of year.

It looks like Texas is the place to be this time of year. It's 35 degrees right now at 6:15pm and that is on the warm side for us. I can't wait until spring.

100 degrees is too hot for me. I like the temp. in the 80's. Last year our warmest temp was 94. It's usually a lot warmer than that.

We got to 45 degrees today and saw the sun for 15 minutes. I am so cold and it is not 32 degrees out there now and low projected it suppose to be 31 I think it will be colder than that because it is only 11:30PM and it usually gets colder in the early am.

Actually, I remember pulling up the covers, and the cats were NO help doing so. Moving in bed last night was a nightmare! Scamp had to be on top of me, and even if I shoved him off, he was right back on me - even getting up!

On the third, it was clear it was cold. Yesterday was clear and in the 20s (which is warm after all the other temps we had), today we are having a snow storm.

Today was supposed to be 34 degrees, it never got there. You're having what I call roller coaster temps, we had those all last year and we seem to revert back to that every so often. I'm hoping it levels off soon. I prefer snow to ice and regular cold to sub-zero. It's all relative up here.

Aw, no fair! I can't wait until that warm weather breaks over here and summer is in full bloom! Right now it's snowing and it's oh so cold outside. And I have to go out in it, yuk! Don't want to, just want to stay in my nice cozy warm little apartment, haha. Plus my car is all frozen and full of snow, and I hate cleaning it off. Oh well, only 3 more months to go, and I'll be all happy again, lol!

Our little area around Austin is in the worse case stage of drought, we got about half our normal amount of rain last year....

I would if I could float around in a pool all day sipping on a nice drink, and not have to work, which means I'd have lotsa money, lol! 100+ hmmm? Wow, that's pretty darn hot! Our Summers here aren't like they use to be unfortunately. The weather has been changing quite drastically and our Summers are much shorter. It's almost like we have no Spring anymore, it just sort of goes from really cold to very hot and humid, rain, rain, rain, then before you know it, it's Winter again. It's really weird lately.

Well you already know what my weather's like, since we have the same stuff! I ran my A.C. last night! I even got heat blisters in, um...odd places. I'm relieved to hear it's supposed to cool down; my electric bill is already going to rise this year, since it was so hot last summer. I'm seriously scared to look at it! Anyway, I always think it's so ironic that I'm one of the few natural-born Texans I know, yet I've never acclimated to the danged scorcher summers we have, nor the hot winters we usually have. Actually, though, it's still cooler this year than usual. And I've read numerous scientists who say that not only is any "global warming" not really happening (we're entering a mini-ice age!), but that if it DID, it'd be GOOD! It would extend the growing season, so fewer folks would starve! So much for global warming hoohah. Maggiepie

Not that warm up here on the high plains, but 73 isn't exactly what you expect in January. It was 74 yesterday. Wow, two days in a row, but we've got a cold spell coming in tonight and the high is supposed to be 42 tomorrow. Texas weather just loves to mess with your mind!

It was in the 80s and been there for a while (84° on Christmas) here so yeah we are getting a warm spell while it seems the rest of the country is getting dumped on with snow (Florida). We are supposed to get a 'cold front' rolling in that will bring us to the low to mid 70s... woohoo.... hehe Thanks Zelo

We are having temps in the mid 30's celcius. That's somewhere in the nineties Farenheit. It's humid too and trying to rain with no luck. That's a bit too hot for you though considering it's Winter....some weird weather is happening, that's foir sure

The temps. hit 69 degrees on Saturday which made it very unusal for January. I just had to go out and start cutting the big branches up that fell during the frozen week when we had the ice storm.
