I got my first dress done!!

I got this pattern a while ago and have not had the nerve or time to try it out. So 2 days ago I just told myself that I was doing it whether I wanted to or not! This is a short dress that i plan on wearing with some white leggings or my straight leg jeans. I guess when it is real hot I could wear it as a dress. This is pattern Simplicity # 3807. It was simple enough for being the first piece of clothing that I have ever sewn for myself. Now I am going to make a handbag to go with it. I have sewn a ton of handbags. Most with no pattern, but I just got a new pattern, Butterick B4409, and just love the looks of these handbags. I will start on it tomorrow!!Now there is no stopping me and by summer I will have a whole new wardrobe!!!!!

I like the colors of the dress, seems like a nice little housedress. You did a great job on it too.

I think I did pretty good. The tie in the back was the hardest part. Time consuming. It took me all of last evening. I had to sew both halves in half and then turn them right side out!! Wow my fingers were sore by time I got done!!

Wow, you did a really good job. It looks like you got it from a store. I wish I knew how to make clothes.
