my friend called me and ask my opinion about his problem and here how it goes: he and his gf have been together for almost a year now. then the girl found out that she has leukemia and afraid to die very soon. my friend learned about it and his willing to stay with her no matter what happened. The problem is his gf doesn't like the idea that he will stay beside her, the girl keeps on pushing him away to the extent that she broke up with him because of this. But my friend keeps on insisting himself to the girl and willing to do everything for the girl realize that his sincere to stay with her. Luckily the girls family understand the decision of my friend so they allowed him to visit the girl every now and then. Another problem is, my friend was deeply hurt every time the girl becomes so mean to him as if she always shouts at him and tells him to go away and look for another girl who is not dieing. Friends, what advise can i give to my friend?

i think its great for him to stay by her, and he needs to tell her no matter what you say or do i am going to be here for you. and if she gets mean to him, he needs to remember that is the sickness she has, and being scared. but he need to keep reminding her he wants to be there for her no matter what. best of luck

I think the leukemia is just a joke. she doesn't really like the guy anymore that why she pretend she's sick. hehehe. i think it's one bad way of breaking up. seriously, i think girls have more issues than guys don't you think?

Honestly, You should let your friend do what he wants to do. if that how he could express his love for the girl, then be it. It would be better to let him love than to force him to stop and then in the future, he would regret his decision

cathya....as you know, this situation is very difficult! Only professionals would be equipped to give him advice, I think that you can just be the very best friend you can be, be a shoulder to cry on....a soft place for him to land! Do not judge the gf and her actions, nor comment on it....we do not know how she feels, given the hand she has been dealt! God Bless you!
