Do you still watch or read the news?

I'm now in my early 30's and I started watching and reading about the news since I was 7 years old. As a Filipino I really made it a point of being aware of the news that is happening in my country. But I also find interest in international news. Counting the years, it has been 25 years... but still I find little satisfaction on what I read, hear and see/watch about the news especially in my county. Before I was optimistic that things would turn for the better, but it has not happened. Everything is the same or even worse. Because of this I have stayed away from my regular habit of getting informed in terms of news that are basically the same "bad news". I know that not all news are not bad but I guess I just got tired of seeing the situation worsen instead of seeing improvements.

Yes, I still watch and read news. It always helps to be updated to the current issues locally and internationally. There are still good news featured on the television and broadsheets. I agree with you that everything is the same or even worse.

I read the newspaper daily and watch the news at least once a day. I feel that it is my responsibility to be informed of what is going on not only locally but also nationally and internationally. Even though the news is often bad or bleak, at least I am up to date on current events that could impact my life and the lives of those I care about.

Yeah, I watched and read news if I have available time. Like you, I want to be aware of the things that are happening in our country and other countries as well.

We try to watch the new once in a while but like you, I find it hard to motivate myself to be updated with all the negative things we see and hear. I think there should be more shows that focuses on good news ... it's just that it's sad that sensationalized news are more popular to the masses

I honestly don't anymore at least not regulary, because there are a lot of current issues we need to address and to solve, and i don't want to be any part of it. But sometimes i managed to switch channels to some famous tv networks that forecasts and so i watch them.
