Well I use laptops because they're the easiest to use for me because you can move them around and the keyboard keys are smaller, I didn't like those big keys on the desktop keyboards, they annoy me. They seem to be harder to use for me. I don't like desktops because you keep sitting in one place and it kind of gets annoying and you can't move the desktop around when your tired because your on the same spot.

I also like Laptop because they consume low power and they are handy to take to everywhere. I have all my office data in that only so i feel like to use my laptop often i use my desktop to play games and to watch movies because it is difficult to play games on the Laptop, If we watch movies for longer periods the battery get drains out.

desktop is more powerful. but laptop is much more portable. the most ideal situation is that you have both. the most popular is having a desktop and a netbook(such as eeepc or ideapad s10)

Hey, Yep, I also prefer laptops because you aren't locked in to your room or whatever. If you need fresh air, you can just go to a park and sit on the grass and start typing or whatever. Even though desktops are faster and cheaper, I still prefer laptops!

I use a Gateway laptop. I have a desktop computer, but it was ruined. I've been wanting to get a new hard drive for it, but I haven't been able to yet. That's why I love using my laptop primarily now (not that I don't want a desktop again though). I love the convenience of being able to take it anywhere. It's great being able to have computer access in different places, especially when needed.

I use a compaq presario PC and I agree that it can get annoying to sit in the same place constantly but there is an upside to it. For people that live in bad areas, if you think about it, it would be harder for someone to just up and walk off with your computer. Sure if they really wanted it they'd get it no matter what, but the bigger the computer the harder it is to walk off with it unnoticed.

I have both desktop and laptop. But most of the time I use my desktop. I'm more comfortable using desktop because I don't really like typing using the laptop keyboard. Beside that I can'y play games on my laptop.

I am having a personal desktop and also a company laptop. I like to use my company laptop more, as you said, it's portable and also more convenient to use laptop. It's not taking up much space, and also I have wireless connection at home, I can bring my laptop anywhere in my house and I can still go online.

I have both and use each equally. I use my desktop whenever I'm at home since I have the nice big screen and a normal sized keyboard that my hands are accustomed to. I have a laptop that I bring along whenever I need to use the Internet and work on the go. My desktop PC has more power and capabilities than my portable and I don't have to worry about battery life as much.

honestly, i preffer desktop pc than laptop. In desktop PC, you can change the hardware easily. You can change your CD-ROM, Graphics card, Hardisk and RAM into the newest one freely. But Laptop usually only can upgrade hardisk and RAM. So, Laptop is more portable, but Desktop PC are easy to modify.

For me i'd choose a desktop, yah lappies are good but only due to its portability. You can bring it to anywhere but if you compare it to a desktop there are lots of thing you can do in a desktop than to a lappie especially that i'm into modding and overclocking. Also on a lappie you can not change parts easily especially if its a branded one...
