Anyone else enjoy the old vintage movies?

I love the old vintage movies like Harvey and Some Like It Hot. Marilyn Monroe, Carolyn Lombard, James Stewart, Carey Grant. Love 'em. I just wonder if there are many others who enjoyed them like I do.

I just love the classics, I find them much better than today's movies, yes they can be melodramatic, but the stories were just more heart felt and gritty and down to earth, less holiday wood glamorizing of real issues with real people. and the humour was different than today as well, more wholesome and less smut.

I'm a movie lover. I enjoy both classic and todays movies. What I found most appealing in classic movies are the simplicity of life back then. And there are no foul language in them. How I would love the travel back in time to experience those hay days.

I would have to say that I do also enjoy the movies of today alot as well. I think if I go to a movie or want to watch one at home the vintages are more ones I can really leave this reality and get into. Ya know?

Great question! Over the holidays, my hubby and I recently spent an afternoon watching "The Maltese Falcon" and "Casablanca." Both are fully vintage in stunning black and white.

I do. We have a couple of movie channels that play mostly the older movies and I often watch them with my mom as she likes them as well. I love just about any thing with Jimmy Stewart in it, or Bob Hope or Danny Kaye, Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck, Walter Matthau etc.

Midnight Cowboy was a tear jerker wasn't it? I enjoy TCM and AMC.

you know a few days ago i thought id start this same discussion. glad i saw this already here. yes i total think those were the days when actors/actresses did not need all this hype and made up computerised images to hold a persons complete attention. they were real and the best.especially Bette Davis and James Cagney. all time favorite.
