I have been trying to only buy USA produced goods ever since so many dangerous/poisonous goods were being imported from China. However I find it gets more difficult every day as I think I because it is a well known American company and it does give a US address on the packaging it is not until I get it home I see in very tiny almost invisible letter "made in China" or some other country. This really makes me mad it seems to me that the company is ashamed to let the consumer know they are NOT buying American made products.

Thank You. It is kind of confusing and they say the only real method is what is written on the packaging.

Interesting. I was watching a YouTude video just the other day about China having fur farms and how they kill fox and such for trim on our clothes here in the US. It is just apolling.

My daughter's company is moving to Mexico. Great for Mexico (and the company!) but not for my daughter and her two kids.. [Gotta love that Chuck Norris! He seems very sensible to me.]

I too try to buy canadian when I can but it is not always possible, for example I buy my clothes from the states, because I have an easier time finding clothes to fit me and they are cheaper too.

Hey LKo, I agree w/ this article we probably could turn our economy around if ppl would buy more "made in the USA" but it is very difficult & yeah Nafta pissed me off b/c that's what basically made me loose my B&M job (which I loved-the job not the co. lol) b/c half our product got shipped out for another country to handle & now this outsourcing to other countries is threatening my WAHJ b/c we have so many over sea's agent working the line :arrrgh: so not only do I emplore ppl here who are from the USA to buy American but if you call customer service & get an overseas rep just say "I can't understand you-transfer me to an American" in particularlly if you have Virgin Mobile |:)

I know when I got my Dell and processor went out the first week! I was on the phone for 3 weeks till I found some one I could really talk to and it finally was someone from the states!

I buy Canadian, American, and European, and the latter being shoes and chocolate stuff like candies. You know Swiss chocolate, Belgian chocolate - so I got chocolate on the brain. I find the electronic stuff lasts longer and the clothes and shoes fit if I get those that are manufactured in the States or Canada. I do not like the idea of imported jobs to countries that have what could be considered as slave labor where people work for pittance. I mean it is all right to buy some cheap toy or something that you really do not care if it breaks or not, for I did watch Invasion U.S.A. and it was a warning as what could happen if America is not careful, and us too in Canada, it seems our government thinks too much of those poor Muslims or illegals. So that movie was supposed to be a wake up call to what might happen.

I guess I will have to look out for that movie sounds interesting. As my hubby was in the Union we always try to buy American made. but getting harder to do when all factories are being sent to different counties and they get paid what 25 cents a day think I say this on tennis shoes and the llabel comes here andya pay HIgh dollar for them Some thing up to $100 or more. that is price gouging for sure!

I checked the link and a lot of what he says is inarguably true. The amount of American debt that foreign countries hold is alarming. If they ever decide to call that debt in both the US...and then Canada would be adversely affected. The challenge seems to be that a lot of people, politicians and world leaders talk about the problems...but do little to offer solutions. Interesting topic...good to keep informed...thanks! Raia

I know very alarming but too what if we called on all the countries we have helped thru the years to return the money bck now! WE coulod be out of debt with them! What gets me too is the people from other countries have bought up alot of property here! and we just dont know to what extent that is!

Yeah, I try to buy American made things all the time too, but like you said its hard to do, because everything is foreign made now. I'm getting tired of seeing all these Made In China labels, thats all you see everywhere you go. something needs to be done about it, alot of our American people are losing jobs because of it.
