Hey mylotters, Why is it that hardly anyone responds to discussion that i start? Do mylotters only respond to discussions their own friends create? I have been a member here for a little while now and i have found that not to many people are responding to my disscussion. Is this because they don't interest any of you or is it because you only respond to your own friends discussions? I am interested in what you think. Does anyone else find the same thing happening to them? We could all earn alot more if we responded to more discussions. Is this not what it's all about? I know alot of you are only here to discuss things with your own friends. Is this true? Why can't we all be online friends?

I think it's more along the lines of what one sees, not who one knows. I'm new to this site too. So it's a little hard navigating around and finding things. I depend on what topics are sent to my email to what I answer. I'm starting to look around and figure out what I'm doing. Maybe others are too. Today, I just found out I should go back through finished discussions I started and choose which person gave me the best answer to my topic. Who knew? It's a learning process, and that takes awhile. Might depend on your topic too. I started one about David Eddings, an author. Nobody's touched that one. I think it's too specific. They don't know anything about him. I messed up. It needs to be more general, where more than a couple people actually have experienced it.

Thanks for your response. I too never knew that you should rate the best answer to your topic. Thanks, you just helped me out.

Hi, back again. I see you have alot of interests. I do too. I came on to mylot to see if I could see what I could learn about making money online and started responding to pretty much anything. I haven't been using mylot for very long, maybe a couple weeks.I'm still learning.

hi suegt, Don't feel this bad , there are people who respond to the discussion to the discussion irrespective of whether they are each other's friend. I'm one those people.;-)

Now you got lots of responses! LOL! I respond to discussions that interests me and only if I am not repeating what others just said. But I also take time to see what my friends' threads and give some comments/opinion (if I think I have sensible one) even if the topic is not that interesting.

I believe many people have the same experience. Most of people just respond their friends topic. The cause is people have limit time to search the limit topic, so they always respond the topic which they are interested or they knows well. Get your topic more interesting, and people will be attracted.

Personally I will respond to anybodies discussions. I don't just reply to my friends. It just depends on whether or not I find a discussion interesting or if I feel that I have something to add to that discussion. Sometimes I don't even reply to my friends discussions if I don't have something relevent to add. I hope it is like that for most of us here on myLot. Happy postings.

My lot is quite a big place with so many topics. And on their home page the number of the members grew very more. Members hoosen some of the discussion as on the base of their interest. So if your discussion is on that topic that is not relating to any one's interest that might be the reaso9n.

We have the same experience. Most of my postings don't get a response, or only a few. I get disappointed, which impels me to post more and to respond to the posting of others.

Well, that question is certain to invoke a response, isn't it? Anyway, if the discussion looks like something I know about or am interested in, I will respond to it. Or, if it has an eye-catching header. Answered one yesterday that said very little but conjured all sorts of things in my mind that I had to look into it and respond accordingly. Oh, and welcome to Mylot. I'm sort of newish as well.

I always look at the discussions that my friends have started, but those discussions are definately not the only ones that I respond to. I also check the discussions in my interest groups and sometimes I look at the new discussions, top discussions and the discussions with no responses. I think that I would miss out on some interesting discussions if I only looked at the discussions started by my friends, because I have many interests and I also have some interests that my friends don't share. I respond to a discussion if I find the topic interesting and if I feel that I have something to say about that topic.

I'm speaking for myself here, I only respond to a discussion I'm interested. Otherwise it's a moot point for me to respond without making any sense at all. I'm guessing you just need to start some interesting and meaningful discussions, that's all. Cheers!
