What qualities do you look for in a friend? Do you have a best friend? Are they there just so that you are not lonely, or is it for a meaningful relationship to become 'better' individuals?

For me trust is the most important factor of friendship, without trust no relationship can survive. Respect, loyalty and being able to listen to you are also desired qualities that I expect from 'true' friends. Compromise and a sense of humour is also just as important. When you are ill and your friends are close they are true friends. True friends are hard to find in life and when you find one treat them well and look after them, true friends you can count on one hand.
