I cannot remember their surname.A young man named Robbie who is a minor league baseball played was shot by cop for no reason.Robbie's father's first name is Bobby and was a major league player for the Cincinati Reds years ago. They are the only black family on the whole block.Robbie and his cousin, another adult male went to the store and when they came back a car pulled up behind them.It turned out to be a police car without it's lights on.A man approached them pointing a gun at them and did not identify himself as a police officer.By this time Robbie's mother had come outside. The policeman said that they were driving a stolen SUV and Robbie's mother replied that it was not stolen this was her house and SUV.The policeman then shoved the woman against the garage door.Robbie then just rolled over and told him not to treat his mom that way, then the policeman shot him.
Now the bullet is longed into his liver and he is not sure if he is going to be able to have a career playing ball.
The police chief said that he does not know why that officer would feel that the SUV was stolen.Robbie and his family feel that this is a hate crime because they are the only black people on the block.
I hear so many stories like this and have seen insadents like this that I am begining to feel that there are police that let their positions go to their heads. What do you think?

i saw that on the news. i figure since they were the only black family in the niegborhood the cops just automatically singled them out. it is a shame that racisn is still so rampant in the u.s. u see things on tv all the time where cops overstp the line. they let their power go to their head. it's a sahme they get by w/what they do.

A couple of weeks ago there was a report on the news where the cops were arresting a black man and he was not resisting and 5 cops pushed him on the ground and was kicking him.The tape from the cop car was pulled and showed this. The police chief suspended the cops upon investigation.I never hear what happened.

This incident is racial and if it was my son I would sue the state. These things should not be happening at this time where the world is modernize but instead every day we heard about Police killings and the human rights just sit down and don't say anything. I hope that this guy recover.
