Freezer Or Oven???

i know much of the US is freezing their butts off right now, and at the same time, i know a lot of my friends "down under" are enjoying summer time right now.
but which do you prefer???
a hot cup of coffee after a snowball fight with your crazy cousins???
or an ice cold beer while boating down the river???
i've lived in both climates.......i used to live in a place where sometimes you thought it would never quit snowing.
and i'm not just talking ankle deep snow........i'm talking snow up to your armpits!
now i live somewhere where it gets so hot in the summer it makes you want to barf sometimes.
it gets hotter than a virgin at a swingers party.........i'm just saying.
heck......just yesterday i was out and about wearing shorts and a hawaiian shirt.
and it's supposed to be over 60 degrees tomorrow.
plus, if we want it, we're about an hour away from the snow........of course you have to watch out for the mountain goats.
but i think i'd rather have it hot than cold..........how bout you???

I'm a wuss when it comes to cold. So Cal born and raised and No Cal is almost too cold for me. It's beautiful here now though. 60's all week, not typical at all.

WOOO!!! HOOO!!! yup, i was born and raised in Anaheim......same house for 22 years.
it's 60s here in Vegas too.....almost perfect.

I was born in West LA myself, raised in the valley! I just moved to Sacramento 3 years ago.

hey mell, haven't seen you lately.
i agree....warm weather is so much better than cold.
unfortunately where i live, some times the "warm" weather gets a little carried away.

Oh man, I hate winter!!!
On Tuesday I run over huge bump on the street ending with flat tire....it took 4 hours for me and my friend to change my tire.I couldn't get anyone from my so called road assistant.I as so cold and tired. It was very cold, foggy, blurry and snowing.
Yesterday during morning flurries (and after 28 hours of already snowing) I couldn't move my car and I was stocked in the middle of the road with my wheels spinning.
After 2 hours and 3 guys help, I was spinning again on the next corner....all happen within my block...I wasted 3 hours to go back to the same parking spot.
Do I have the reason to like summer? I love it!

I'm going out on a limb here..
I like the warmth, but not so hot you barf.. I like about 25C .. that's comfortable. I was shoveling a crapload of snow today. .

I like cold weather better, myself.. you can keep adding clothes to keep warm but when it's hot... you can only take so many off.. and then yer still hot!

Good morning,
I am from Australia, but I live in the U.S. I am flying home to Australia on Feb 3rd for a vacation, and I certainly am not looking forward to the heat. I owned a farm in Aussie for many years, and all of the work on fruit and vegetable crops had to be done in the height of summer. Having said that, I will be planing my 2010 trip during the American summer, because this humidity almost kills me!

To answer your question about what I would rather have. I would have to say warm weather. Not overly hot where you can't sleep at night but comfortably warm.
I'm from Canada and it's around minus 29 with windchill so the snow up to the waist is about what's going on this time of year for us.
I enjoy summertime way more.

yeah i used to live in Minnesota......i think they used to be part of Canada but we took it during the Canadian American War.

I tend to be a 'grass is always greener' person. When it's hot I'm wishing it would rain, and when it's cold I'm thinking about how nice it would be to go to the beach for the day! Regarding drinks, I'm an iced coffee addict - I'd rather have that than ANYTHING, no matter what the weather's like. Even in the middle of winter, I choose iced coffee if we're eating out or in a cafe - and apart from starting the day with a nice strong espresso, it's cold drinks all the way after that!

Hey sconi! Well, thanks for the vivid picture of you in those
shorts and Hawaiian shirt! For me stuck here in frozen tundra
known as Yonkers, NY we are having a bit of a frost wave this
week! Yup! We are expecting temps in the single digits! I am
expecting to freeze my azz off! And I don't have much of an
azz to freeze off! I hate the cold weather! I have had enough
already and to think I actually was excited to see the first
friggen snowfall! I want Spring! Even the bears (sorry mr. bear!)
wouldn't want to be in NY this week!

yeah, we do get a little bit of really cold weather but normally it's not too bad, and in the summer it gets downright HOT.
sometimes you feel like you're standing on the sun......thank goodness for AC.
