hello everybody here at Mylot. well this morning i got up, got the two boys off to school and i proceeded on to work. whoo hoo! at ten o'clock this morning, my youngest son called me from school, he said that he had a stomach ache. so i had to leave work at ten o'clock this morning and proceed on to the school to pick him up. when i got to the school, i could tell as soon as i seen him that he sure enough wasn't feeling good. not only did he have a stomach ache, but his face was flushed as well. sure hope that he isn't getting that virus that we all had here before Christmas got here. so tell me, how's your day going today? also, when was the last time that you had to pick your child up from school? thanks for sharing and have a beautiful day today!

Hope your little guy feels better as the day goes on. Hopefully not a virus that lingers. I am having a lousy day. Our furnace went out. The repairman is here now and the news is not that great but they can get the heat back on before we get this terrible cold snap Thursday. Suppose to be below zero and the coldest in 10 years. We can repair or replace and decided to repair and get it done today and soon. No heat in the house since very early this morning so it's cold in here on the lower levels of the house. Computer room is not too bad since it's upstairs. The dog and cat are in hiding. The dog will bury himself under his blanket but the cat will be cold. We could stay with our daughter but still need to fix the furnace. In order to keep my fingers warm so I could type I made 2 cups of hot chocolate and put the cup in the microwave in order to keep it hot. Been warming my fingers on the cup also. Last time I had to pick up one of our kids from school was many moons ago. Our yongest is 30 and it was when she was in grade school.

I washed an old blanket and gave it to the dog. It's on his little pad where he likes to sleep. He gets his little nose under it and moves it around until it's just right. It's so cute. He's too little to get on the bed, thank goodness.

Hope your boy is feeling better soon. Give him an extra hug from me. I love kids, anybodys' kids. I have two grandchildren that I wouldn't trade for ten million dollars and I'm not at all financially set.

Don't remember the last time I had to pick up a child early because of sickness. It hasnt happened this school year. But I did have to pick up my kids early the week before Christmas, because of the weather. It was sleeting and they let school out early.

Hi TnWoman! Oh, I do hope that your son is feeling much better today and hoping that he didn't get the virus. I don't have children of my own and the last time I picked up my brother's children from school was a year ago. However, I had a great day today. I spent it helping a friend of mine from abroad who just came home for the holidays and will be leaving tomorrow. Take care and have a nice day! lovelots..faith210

I hope your son gets to feeling better. I have had a very busy day. I have been dealing with my daughters issues with her boyfriend today also. It is very stressful for me since she is almost 17 now. She also had surgery a few months ago. We have had to pick her up from school because she was sick two months ago.
