Oh, bra, bra!!!

I am having problems with bras. I have been buying bras recently and none of them works out. Now I am confused and depressed where to get the perfect bra. Three recently, not cheap ones and they have brands, bought in those exclusive shops. Let's see the problems, one of them has loose string and they keep on sliding from my shoulders; one of them has too hard rings around the cups that hurt; and the last one of them I just wore yesterday has is too tight for me. After I got off from work I took it off immediately and I was really depressed. It's 400RMB and I don't know what to do with it. To throw it away? No, not a cheap bra! Or send it to my girl friend? Seems can't find one who wear the size! I am mad and I need your help, my awesome smart friends here!!! What's the brand you are wearing and any tips of choosing a good bra?? I guess my breasts are kinda big among easterners. I want to buy a Victoria's Secret but they don't have any distributors in China.

You really need to be professionally fitted for the right bra size, a survey was taken a few years ago, and it says that only 10% of all women wear the right size bra! just 10%! and I'm one of them! lol! next time you visit a nice underwear shop or even online.. ask them about being professionally fitted... once you get the correct size you can even go buy the cheap ones and have them fit perfect!

Yeah, but once you buy a good, expensive bra, for me, at least, there is no going back to a cheap one. Besides, the manufacturers of the cheap ones seem to think just because the cup is bigger, they need to make the part that goes around your back bigger, too. My back is not that wide, but there is a lot up front. Did that make sense?

Well, some of the store staffs tell me that different brands have different size standards, some of the brands tend to have relatively small size standards. I actually wear different sizes from different brands, so I guess that's true. And that's why I daren't to order bras on the internet coz I can't try it on and don't know how it feels. I guess I just met the wrong shop girl who gave me the wrong size even I tried it on I didn't notice coz it's only several minutes's time on my body and some of the problems can't show up in an instance. Well, thanks guys I am a little experienced now. Thanks for sharing:D

that was suppose to say... I'm not one of the 10%! lol! mine never fit.. I wear a DD and sometimes a DDD.. I fall outta my cup a lot! this is why I don't bend over unless I just have to! hahaha! you are right about the expensive bras.. I have a few but I don't like the way that they look so I hardly wear them..

You know what Denise, I have wasted so much money on this and even all those expensive brands do not seem to work good! The one I am using now is a local brand and I am managing with it. And trust me its little better than the reputed ones! Will have to look for Triumph, if I get it here.

Let's shake hands, mimpi. I am so mad that I want to throw all these bras right away!!! As the saying goes, out of sight, out of mind. I feel so comfortable at home coz I don't need to wear bras, aha. Ok, keep you posted. And you can read some of the mylot friends' responses. Good advice and currently I think I'd try Triumph. And try them on very carefully, examing all the potencial problems before buying. Don't put all your trust to the store staff as they can be deceptive just to sell their bras! That's all I can give now, dear.

I buy the brassieres from Triumph. I like the fittings of this brand. The price is higher compared to other brands but for sure this bra will last longer too. This is the product I used since college. Now, I am married and I let my housemaid wash it. She doesn't know how to wash it properly so some of it are damaged. Especially on the front part. I think it is also important that we will wash it with care especially if it is expensive. Washing it properly will make the life span of the bra longer.

Aha, another friend recommending Triumph. I've really heard a lot good reviews for this brand and then I checked but nothing attracts me at the first sight. I am sorry that I didn't try it which I should really have and maybe I had already got the perfect bra!!! OK, I will check Triumph out again and probably it's the one for me. I am very careful washing my bras since they are expensive. You are right there! Thanks very much for sharing:D

Hi. I've heard a lot about Triumph and then that day I went to the department store to check this brand out, but unfortunately, I saw nothing make me feel at the first sight and they all had too much lace which I worry can affect the shape in Summer coz we all wear very thin clothes and maybe tight. Others may can see the shape of the bra. SO I turned to Maniform. Enveis and find that I like their designs. I will check Triumph again since so many ppl say favorablely about it. Thanks for sharing:) and hope I can find a great one for myself.

I have the same problem, I'm not big, but I can't find one that's comfortable. Victoria's Secret should be able to ship one to you. Have you tried to order online from them?

I am concerned about the size of VC bra since I never bought any or tried on any so I don't know which size to order. Ppl say that different brands have different sizes, even for the same person. I think so. Some of the brands have relatively small size standard and some others have bigger ones.

I think that might be true but if yiu go to their website they should have a size chart to help you figure it out. It should also explain how to measure yourself to figure it out.

I have a hard time finding a good bra also. I hardly ever wear one while I am at home. I do have a bra to wear and it is a Victoria Secret but it is not very comfortable either.

The first lesson one learns when buying a bra is to try it out. Never ever buy one without trying it out. Now that you have worn it, the chances are they may not change it. When you wore it only, you must have felt uncomfortable and should have not removed the tag and asked for an exchange. Try Maidenform, round cups. They fit better because of the stiching on the cups in a circular fashion. They are not very costly too. Happy hunting.

For one thing, I would never buy an underwire bra, they are uncomfortable and can actually hurt. Try to find a shop that will fit you for a bra. Those people know which kind might be right for you and help you achieve the look you want as well as the support you need. Everyone is built differently and a shop like that will have a wide selection that you can try on and decide which you like best. Didn't you try on those bras before you bought them? If not, do so.

You should know the exact size and then you can choose according to the size. In dia We get the bra as per the size mentioned or if you are not comfortable with the brought one first you and have the sample and try it first if it fits you then you can go ahead buying and throwing will not work out as it is a branded one which is costly. So first try if it suitable then buy it. Keep mylotting and have a good day.

I love victorias secrets but to be honest they can be a little expensive but they are definitely worth the money and they can last up to years.

I heard it is a good thing to go and get expertly fitted, they have little tips on what is needed for different problems, sometimes simple little things that most people don't think of...even if you just go once to see what they say...
