Hey people, I want your opinion on this one..Which of the two sites,Ciao.com or Ciao.co.uk, is worth joining in terms of making money? The latter pays in pounds and the former in dollars But which out of the two is more lucrative?

There is quite a difference in these sites in that Ciao.com lets anyone join (at the moment) who has a Paypal account and Ciao.co.uk is a UK centric site and to get payment you need to have a UK bank account as that it the only form of payment. I have been on the UK site for over 5 years and on the whole I have no problems there as people use the site as it's intended. The Ciao.com on the other hand is a different kettle of fish with people cheating left, right and centre, even many people who are members here have been banned from there for copying and/or other forms of abuse of the site. Neither site will make you rich but if you enjoy writing and want to earn some pocket money on the side for doing something you enjoy and can handle constructive feedback from other members, then both sites are worth joining (obviously as I said the UK site only pays to UK bank accounts).

I just got to know that the UK site does not pay via paypal..in that case it is better to join ciao.com...however even i've heard of a lot of members copy pasting their work there

The sites are as lucrative as you make them, as in if you put in a lot of effort, write good reviews, read others and basically get yourself known then both will pay dividends. If you just go on post review after review and not spend anytime reading other peoples then to be honest you are wasting your time. The one thing you should take into consideration is that Ciao.co.uk pays via BACS direct your bank and you need to have a UK based bank account to be able to withdraw your money but Ciao.com uses paypal.
