There is not much of a difference between a bully versus the bystander.
When there is injustice around you, big or small, quantity doesn't matter... do you step in or do you avoid it?
I've been a bystander in my life until injustice came to me... I was ignorant than and I was ok with it. I really don't have that mentality now and I am really grateful for that. How often to you become enraged or shed a tear hearing someone else's pain? How often do you say, "it's none of your business!" or "oh well"?

I just saw a new TV show that showed what people will do when observing situations that involve danger or just unfair treatment of others. I like to think I'd be right in the middle as I have been before, but I'm much older now and maybe not so quick to interveine.

I try my best to interrupt inappropriate behavior that I witness, especially if I know the people involved. I'm not always forthright as I would like to be but at least I try. That's a lot more then I can say for most people.
