they keep giving me straight lines...

If they keep giving me straight lines, is it my fault that I jump all over them? This morning a flock of geese took off right in front of us. They were in a rather strange formation and I remarked that it didn't look anything like a 'V'. My daughter, Dearra, looked and said "hey geese, what's that supposed to be?" So I said, "maybe they're learning to write in cursive?" Laughter, "oh mom." Really, is it my fault that they keep giving me these lines?

Very good. I hope that they learn cursive better than I did. I'm the man that put "Curse" into cursive!

And I'm the girl who got a 'D' in reading because the teacher couldn't read my handwriting!

I can come up with marvellously witty or cryptic phrases - but after the event. Blessings

Good joke, thanks for sharing. But anyway, there is no rule which puts a ban on geese flying zig-zag.

Yes, Geese would always be geese only.

Even if there was such a rule, I don't think the geese would obey!

*L* That is funny. I can never come up with stuff like that, until it is too late, then I have to wait years to be able to use it.*L*

At work and out in the big, bad world, I usually don't come up with them until it's too late either, but I can do it pretty well with people I'm comfortable with!

When I do happen to do that, I am usually the only one who gets it. I think it's clever and funny, my kids just look at me and roll their eyes.*L*
