Click on the picture and read the homework. The young man that wrote this really meant horses. Honest he did I wonder what the teacher thought when they read it? Do you check your childs homework when they have finished or do you let the teachers be surprised?

It would be pretty funny if it were real. I think it was faked though. the part about them being able to put their legs straight up in the air. wtf? and then the dad wanting them, but the mom saying no. yeah. its a fake.

Awww, thats a really cute, but funny story. It is a little suspicious though isn't it? Especially the bit about 'hores' being able to put their legs straight up and that his dad wanted one. Maybe it is true, children do the cutest things sometimes and have absolutely no idea!!

How cute…I love reading kids works with all their mistakes and funny thoughts. I bet the teacher was suitably surprised but she must have taken it in the correct spirit. For myself, yes I do check all his homework. More than the teacher being surprised, I really don’t want her to think that my son has illiterates as his parents or that they are too busy to spend some time with him.

Hi fwidman
I have received a similar email. A child has written about his mother's job and he draw a picture of her. The teacher received a note from his mother explaining the drawing. That she is not a pole dancer as portrayed in the child s drawing. She said that she works in a store and she was selling one of the last shovels since it snowed the previous day and a number of customers wanted to get the last shovel. I wish I oculd find the email to post it here

I home school my kids so I always check their work. I guess if you crawled inside that kids mind it would be a dark place.

I always check my daughter's homework after she finishes. I think it is a good idea to do that so you can find any mistakes they made before they turned it is.

I do check my daughters homework, on those rare occasions when she either has any or gets bored enough to do it. The high school she goes to is a joke, they don't seem to care about homework. Of course this is the same school that had to take a week off for Thanksgiving rather than the two days most schools take. I'll be so glad when this school year is over and they hand the girl her diploma. Then I can worry about what she will do with her life

OmgSorry for laughing, but you are right, I would not no where to put my face if my daughters had taken this to School un-checked.
The poor lad. I bet teachers see a lot of bad words that are not meant everyday, but this one is really funny. I bet she laughed. I hope the poor boy gets his horses that he buys though, for writing this.

This is just to cute......... I think if I were the teacher I would know this was spelling error ....needless to say I think who ever reads this and doesn't smile or laugh is a big ole prude . Children can always find a way to make you smile . I was recently watching a video on youtube and a little boy couldn't say fire truck .........it came out s fire f--k. can you imagine the expression on the face of the teacher at day care when it is play time.

Hi fwidman,
Parents shpuld always help with the child's homework and help them with spellings, mine you these parents some of can't spell anyway and some of them really don't care about their children's homework.

Oh my gosh that is the funniest thing I have ever seen! I mean, either meaning would fit nicely into that entire paragraph! My daughter is six and she wrote her dad a note one time that said "no daddys aloot in this brm". It wasn't bad, just hilarious.
