I bought my first pair of Crocs in Aug 2007. I liked them right away because they were so light and easy to walk in. The holes around the soles let in the water on a wet day and the sand on a dry day, but no matter, They were an instant Hit, not only with many Canadians, but with Medical Personnel especially those working in Hospital settings. There is growing controversy presently, that Crocs attract static electricity and can short out medical machinery, plus the holes in the toes tend to collect dripping blood, making them unsuitable for Hospital staff. Crocs now come in a fur lined winter version. I have a pair for slippers in the house, and a pair for walking. I think Crocs are the best thing since apple-pie.

When I first saw them I thought they were about the ugliest thing I had ever seen. After awhile though I ended up buying my kids a pair and found that they were so easy to just slip them on and if they got dirty they were so easy to wipe off. After awhile my youngest wouldn't wear any other shoe that we tried to put on her. We bought many different styles of them and this year we got her some of the new lined ones so she can wear them even during the winter. After a few months of them wearing them I decided to give them a try so I went to the store and after putting them on I found they were some of the most comfortable shoes. I will wear mine around the house or when I have to run errands and they are great. I also got some of the new croc flip flops this past summer and they were not only comfortable but also cute enough that I can wear them anywhere I go. Around where I live if you work at the hospitals you can't wear the crocs to work they have to be totally enclosed tennis shoes. There are a lot of work placed though that don't allow you to wear certain shoes and I know I couldn't wear crocs to work if I wanted to and I work at an airport. People will eventually get over not being able to wear them while working.

Crocs are Ugly and Inelegant, for sure, but looks are not everything. As much as I love the Crocs, they are terrible at getting your socks and feet dirty. I resisted the temptation to buy a pair for a while too, but so many people raved about them I had to give in.

i find them a bit expensive and well, my feet get sweaty in them too, but i have a pair of fake ones and real ones (which were both given to me) and i do wear them because they are easy to throw on and they are comfy. my asthma doctor told me they were the most comfy shoes he has ever owned!

I bought my son a pair of the regular ones and he really loves it. He even told me that he wanted to wear it this winter but I told him it's not good to wear it on winter since it has holes. I think I will just buy him the fur line winter version. He just simply love his crocs since it's light and easy to wear and take off.

I love my Crocs! I have several pair. My first pair were purchased well over a year ago, maybe 2. They were (shock, horror) $25 and lime green. Then I bought a red pair and black pair for under $10 then a lilac pair for $6.
I love them so ...BUT....I am wearing them out! They all have holes in the soles. On top of that, one of the down sides of living in the bush is the various prickly things that grow and lie about on the ground in clouds of sting and ouch. The really big long barbs come straight through the soft plastic...even the smaller barbs stick to the shoes and can be uncomfortable and ouchy if one puts one's foot wrong.
I would like more crocs but with a sturdier sole.
Maybe the nurses could wear those head caps on their shoes to save their tootsies from the dripping blood, vomit and other horrid, sickly, liquidy things that must surely drop on nurses shoes. These could be disposed of a necessary....much like the latex gloves they wear.

Hello!
I have never heard of this pair of shoes. By seeing the picture, I think that they look great. I mean, the light green color and their design makes a perfect combination. I understand that the name Croc might be because of the color, but is it made with something like Crocodile's skin?
I'm glad you liked it. I didn't know this was so famous, I had never heard about it, really.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I think the name means that these shoes are as beautiful as a crocodile. And the guy who named them had that Right. Crocs come in a multitude of colors, so just take your pick. Crocs are made entirely with a rubbery-plastic composition. They have no other material in their construction.

I found them very comfortable and like you said- so light they are like a slipper. I wear them for work when I am on my feet for 6-7 hours a day. My feet are still able to breathe in them and dont hurt. I have 4 pairs in total and wouldnt be without them. :-)

My daughter, started wearing them several years ago when they came out. I have never gotten a pair yet. I imagine that they would be quite comfortable. But since I work in the barn, I prefer to wear things that won't allow moisture to seep in freely. You understand, eh?
I don't see why medical personnel couldn't disinfect them with a disinfectant regularly.
Static, short out medical machinery. Hmmmm, interesting. You would think that rubber would NOT conduct. I know rubber boots defends somewhat from electrical shock of the electric fence. lol.

Being a Farmer myself I know exactly what you mean about wearing Crocs in the Stable! The reason they should not be worn in a Hospital or Clinic is the danger of contracting disease from dripping or spilled blood on your feet. Crocs are a non conductor,so that static electricity builds up a charge in the body of the person wearing the crocs. This charge could short out sensitive medical machinery.

I bought a pair of little shoes that were very much like these in the picture for my grandson afew summers ago. They were SO cute. The front of them was formed like the face of the little green dude from Shreck on the front of them. So cute!

I bought a pair of Crocs in July 2007. I do not like Crocs actually, I think they are ugly and they are the most expensive rubber shoes I see so far. You must be asking why I still bought them?! I went to Hongkong Disneyland during my honeymoon. My sandals is broken there, I have no choice but to look for a pair of sandals/slippers inside Disneyland. But the simple slippers with some cartoon printed on them cost like HK$160! They are just so expensive and not worth. The other shoes that I can find there is Disney Crocs, where the holes are of mickey mouse's head shape. The price for a pair is HK$320 which is about the price of a pair in my country. So, I just bought a pair instead of the slippers. To me, they are bulky and slippery too! I do not think it is a good design.

I have found Crocs very slippery on a wet smooth floor. I have had a few close almost accidents, but have now trained my self to be careful in those wet situations. Crocs are not always cheap to buy, and they wear out quite quickly because they as so soft and light. But when a pair wears out I always replace them.

I like Crocs too.. though i haven't bought any pair for myself.. i'd like to have the prima style.. it's like a ballerina shoes but the difference is it's comfy and perfect for people who are always on the go.. Inspite of the issue, i still want to buy the prima crocs! =)

I was given a pair and I didn't like the way they fit me. I couldn't get used to them. They were the right size I just didn't like the way they feel. So when my granddaughter came over I gave them to her and she absolutely loves them. I also thought that they were ugly and I still don't think they are good looking shoes.
