The truth about Diet Food!!

I recently read a scientist's study on diet food and I was enraged at his findings!!! The food people buy that says diet on the label is actually making you FATTER!! Oh yeah that's right, there are drugs lacing this food that make you feel hungry and never satisfied causing food addiction. Also drugs are added to keep your body from burning fat and excess carbs by slowing the absorption and breakdown. And usually this "diet" food has twice the amount of salt causing water retention. Knowing this would you still eat this diet food?

Yes, this makes me really angry also! I can't believe all of the chemicals and junk in diet food AND regular food. I try to stay away from ANY food that is not natural. I.E. raw or living food is best-fruits, nuts (that are soaked) vegetables. Anything that has been processed and is not organic is not the best for you. Food is perfect in it's natural form, but we go and tamper with it and wonder why we get sick or aren't healthy!

I'm glad you know better. It get's me so angry that people go on so blindly ingesting this poison every day. Or I get the excuse I know but can't afford it. I am trying to educate people on the truth of what is killing them. It's so nice to see another person with their eyes open!

Just reinforces my motto. READ THE LABEL! If you can't pronounce the ingredients or don't know what they are, don't buy it. Diet food is a fad generated by the companies that manufacture it. It's propaganda that desperate people buy into. The truth is that a natural, whole food eating program with some exercise is always the best way to loose weight! We are responsible for our own health. Let's educate ourselves so we know how to take care of it on a daily basis. Go for prevention, don't wait for the need of a cure, but if you're overweight, cut out pre prepared foods, fast foods, diet foods and drinks. Cook from scratch. Eat lots of raw veggies and fruits. Use some common sense. No pill or diet food is going to make you loose weight.

Like Jack Lalane said: "If man made it... DON'T EAT IT!!" unfortunately, natural food is not natural anymore. If it isn't organic it's not real. Let's say you bought peaches and it didn't say organic, you are not really eating peaches. In fact you are eating genetically engineered peaches which have been grown with pesticides and fertilizers which are completely absorbed into the fruit thus making it poisonous to our body!! So you might as well spray raid on your food before eating it because that's what the food manufactures are doing to our food anyways. Disgusting isn't it?

It is all garbage specially the "low fat" which adds more carbs to make up for the loss of flavor and volume. Plus all kinds of things like HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP is added. Did you know many vitamins in food were fat soluable and need fat in order for the body to process them?

Diet food is what got me to gain in the first place. I feel that the best way to lose and this has been working for me lately is to just eat regular foods and excercise, dance around the house to some upbeat music, or taking a walk daily helps also. Everything we eat will make us fat, no matter if it has the word DIET on it, so the best thing is to move around. Pills don't work, I've tried diet pills and it's no use, what DOES WORK, is green tea, include that as a drink instead of soda. Green tea helps keep the body a little cleaner. It makes food easier on the stomach. We all need fat, but we also need to work a little harder on getting up and moving around.

Yes all food can make you fat and yes it's the amount of exercise we do that will burn fat and most of all keep the balance. Our bodies are designed to burn energy and food equals energy so if you eat a meal and then sit on your butt your not burning anything really thus the balance is off. I noticed you mentioned green tea, another good choice and virtually free in United States is Chickweed. I say free because this is a native plant in the states. In fact if you garden you probably weed it out every year and throw it away! Little did you know that if drunk like a tea you would burn fat more, cleanse your system and help your metabolism quicken!

I have never taken those things. For me the most important thing to do when you want to be fit is discipline. Its a matter of determination. Besides, it would always be best to take in natural foods rather than chemically process foods. There may be something out there that really works, but obviously they could have side effects.

The best diet is the regulation of regular food. I am in no way a large person, and this is frankly due to my enjoyment of eating what I eat, the moderation of how much I eat, and exercise. I do not understand why people choose to complicate their life with crunching numbers while they are eating. The stress and fear of food causes people to retain weight, remain unhealthy, and inadvertantly become hungrier due to these things. Diet food is of no use to most people. It is not the food that makes one fat, but overindulgence. Since "diet" food is lacking in so many areas in comparison to regular food, it causes individuals to not feel satisified and in the hands of an uncontrolled person (understandably due to hunger) can be a devestating blow even to a person really dedicated to changing their lifestyle. I am no medical expert or food expert for that matter, but I am aware that happiness and moderation of food has caused me to remain very healthy in my eating habits. Fearing food only causes more problems. Fear is the method to which diet programs feed.
