Do You Like Almonds on Your Salad?

Sometimes when I order a certain type of salad at one of my favorite restaurants it comes with almonds on top. I love that taste with the blue cheese dressing and grilled chicken. There have been some salads I've had with almonds that I didn't care for because they had a vinagrette dressing on it. I think it depends on the kind of salad dressing as to whether or not I'll like the almonds on my salad. Do you like almonds on your salad?

I have never tried almonds on my salad before. It is just not something I would want to try to do. I like chicken and croutons on my salad the most.

I am with you....depends on what kind of salad and what kind of dressing. I do like a grill chicken salad with some almonds on it...but with Ranch...or French. I am not wild about vinagrette dressings either.

Almonds on Salad is a good Combo, but here there is no such preparation available.(maybe in 5 star hotels/restaurants). Here usually we get Salads with peanuts, otherwise I like to eat almonds in any shape. At home also I've never used almonds on Salads.

I'm not a big fan of almonds or any nuts on my salad. I rather just have cheese and chicken maybe egg kinda like a chef salad. I did have a salad that my friend at work left me and it had almonds and raisins in it and chunks of blue cheese. It was very good.

It depends on what type of salad I am eating. Blue Cheese dressing and almonds sound like a good combo on a chicken salad. We had salad for dinner tonight (no almonds) and it was really good. We don't eat a lot of salad in the winter and I think that is why it tasted so good! LOL

You're right, the salads do taste really good when you haven't had them for a while.

Salad with almonds and chicken with blue cheese dressing....Mmm. Yeah, the dressing definitely has a big influence on how the almonds go with the salad. If it's a kind of vinaigrette dressing, or anything with a lot of oil like that, they usually don't taste very good. But with the thicker dressings, like blue cheese or ranch, they taste a lot better and go with the salad.
