For me, it is very, very, very important. Just last month, december 2008, my uncle died. He got 3 siblings. 2 girls and 1 boy. In the funeral, my cousins spoke about saying "ilove you" to their father. Because from their childhood, they never say the words "i love you" to their father. And from that moment, while she cried and shouting for regrets of not saying "i love you" to her father, it relly breaks my heart knowing that i never did also to my parents. Thats why after that scenario, i decided to take the chance on saying those words to my parents. So just this Christmas, i cried and i hug my mom and dad and i told them with tears in my eyes that i love them sooo much... Atleast it is not the end and they still have the chance to hear me and feel my deepest love... How about you? Is it important for you to say the words "i love you"? Why and why not..?

I am with you,but I have never say "I LOVE YOU" to my parents although I really love them so much and I am grateful to them too.but just as the situation of you,my parents are not so old and they still have a long way to go,therefore I have many chances to say "I LOVE YOU" and I will say it some day,I won't want to feel sorry of myself 40 or 50 years later,I will do my best to make them happy and they will fell the love from me

I hope you could say it soon. We never know what life brings us. Remember we are not the owner of our lifes.

It's just a very sad story. I'm so sorry for what happened to your uncle and much sorry for those kids he left behind. Yes, absolutely, I believe it's very important to say "I LOVE YOU" to our parents although we may find it awkward at first. You know, life is just so short and we'll never know when we go...

Yes, your right. It is really awkward to say "iloveyou" if it is not practice.

Yes. We must tell the ones that we love these words. It is reassuring to them and it makes them feel like we truly care about them.

It is very important, your story is the perfect example. I don't know why some of us are giving their mouth a hardtime saying those words which to think is very easy.Me, if i remember and if i had time I spend my hours with the ones I love. It is not only by saying it but also by showing them that they are important.
