I Can Wait Forever ?

Have you heard the song of Air Supply entitled "I Can Wait Forever"? It's an old song. I'm just curious if it's still happening today. Can you really wait forever for the one you love? Let's say your special one promise you to get back after 10 years, can you really wait that long? Can both of you stay faithful to each other, knowing that nowadays, temptation is everywhere. Ten years is really a long time, a lot of things will happen. Are you that martyr to wait? There is no assurance, you just have to have faith. What is your thought about this? Are you really willing to wait that long?

When I am in that situation and we will only have a constant communication, I have no doubt to wait for someone I truly love!
But, it needs a lot of trust and love for the relationship to survive! But, I know this is very very possible..Everything is possible in LOVE![/i]

wow..that is tough! Hmm...I will do this! I will try my best to trace him and contact him and if ever after all those effort, I can feel that he is not exerting any effort to reach me, I will move on of course! Life is too short and if his family also will not give me any info about him, it means one thing, He is no longer interested to deal with me!

I admire you for having a strong faith. You are really a faithful person. You said that it's possible if you have a constant communication, but what if you seldom communicate or even no communication at all (for ten years), do you think it's still possible? Let's say when he/she leaves you, he/she didn't leave you any contact number or address. Do you think you can still survive for ten years?

Yes, I think I've heard of the song but I thought Phil Collins did it. Anyway, 10 years is a really long time. I wouldn't expect someone to wait that long for me. I may feel that I loved someone enough to wait that long but in reality, face it, we all change so much over that length of time. I wouldn't make such a promise. I am very patient and I do go long periods without seeing my man without a problem at all. I am very faithful but 10 years is just too long. It would not be fair to anyone.

Yes, it's really hard. It will be a very sad 10 years. You would keep on thinking how is he/she, is he/she also thinking of me. It's very difficult, and yes maybe even how faithful you are, there will comes a time that you will get tired of waiting. But still, I know it can still be possible, maybe 5% out of 100%. I love that song! I love any song by Air Supply, come to think of it - I still have their greatest hits on tape somewhere around here from decades ago. I don't know if that's still true nowadays. It seems to me like everyone is in a rush to hurry up and get into a relationship . . . only to see it fail or dissolve after a short period of time because they don't make an effort to get to know the person prior to getting into it a bit too far. Know what I mean?

I love Air Supply songs and I listen to their music from time to time.
The complete line is "I can wait forever, if you say you'll be there too". And I don't think someone will ask somebody he/she loves to wait forever or even just for 10 years. If I love someone, I always want to be with her all the days of my life. If she wants me to wait that long, I think she don't love me enough to make her change her plans. My answer then to your question is no. I can not wait that long.
So the next song will be... "Goodbye".

Yes, like you, I also love Air Supply songs. I like love songs, especially those old ones. You are not in favor of long distance relationship, actually me too, I don't want to be far from my love as much as possible. Haha! Yes your waiting may just end up to "Goodbye". Lol! for me it's such a long time, it is equal to one decade..I think it just happen by chance but to wait that long it's quite impossible to someone.
