The sad puppy eye look!

They never start too early do they and never out grow it. I know I still fall for it every time, just call me sucker when it comes to my kids and grandkids. Savanna is getting so grownup looking and getting too big too fast, such a pretty little girl.

It os a ;lovely photograph of her. I know that look too well. I get it from my granddaughter every morning when I leave for work. Her twin brother is smiling and waving but she always looks so woebegone that I want to rush back to her and do anything to make her feel happy again. But it is hey ho hey ho, it's off to work I go, regretfully. Blessings on you all.

Well, it does look Cute when she does it. My little sister (who just turned 36) used to do this all of the time when we were growing up as well. So we used to use her to get things we wanted and a lot of times it worked. I guess you will have to teach her as she gets bigger that this is not going to always work for her with Grandpa around even if it is Cute?

She knows how to get what's wants. How cute!

I think she wants some new shoes... socks, anyway.

I cannot wait until my grandson gives me the sad look when he wants something. He is due next month.

Hi grandpa! Oh yes, I have 4 daughters. I always had a hard time with this eye thing they can do. Being their mom ( and a single one at that) I did have to be tough...not always easy. My dad had a horrible time with it. He would walk the dog and say he was stopping at the store. He'd ask my oldest if she wanted anything. Of course she would tell him her favorite candy bar. If he came back with the wrong one...he would walk back. He had a bad hip and I witnessed this one day and intervened. I had to. He was spoiling her rotten. My 2nd daughter was born and he spoiled her too. He passed when I was pregnant with my 3rd. My 2nd was only 2 and still has memories of him. My oldest was 9 and had a hard time adjusting after he passed. Thats what grandpas do, I guess...spoil them rotten...you go for it! I have a grandaughter now and I don't have to be the disciplinarian...I can just enjoy her and I do. She does that puppy dog eye thing and I just melt. I can't say no to her. Funny how I could say no to her mom. makes her mom mad. ha! I have a 22 year old that has perfected the batting of eyelashes trick. It works on everyone but me. I just tell her to save it. It doesn't work on moms.

Oh, that's just adorable!! She'll learn to use that to maximum advantage, too!

You know what, I've tried to perfect my sad puppy look but I just couldn't make it! I'm a happy person in general so even though my mouth is turned downwards my eyes are always alight and no one really buy my sad look. It never works on anyone! Haha! Thanks for sharing this though. Your grandkid is cute!

Hey Grandpa Bob! She is such a sweetheart! And yes she does look just like her Mommy! She has her eyes and her lips! She is very pretty and getting prettier everyday! Minnie must be so proud! It's so nice to have been able to have watched her change since the day she was born!

LOL. Very sweet. My daughter used to do this look to me also when she wanted something. I usually gave in to her also. I don't have any grandchildren yet.

All I say to the dogs (and cats) is "Don't try that on me, it doesn't work."
