Do you want to be rich or comfortable?

I agree to be financially secure would be just as good as being rich as long as I could live and pay my bills and still have money left at the end of each month I would be content.

I very much agree with you, after living for so long in a state of financial uncertainty it would be great to have enough money to pay bills, do some repairs and invest in a few luxeries as well. If I became rich I would most likely give all the excess money I didn´t need to charities, for example where I live there are lots of animals on the streets and I would like to give money to ensure they have a decent home, I have often dreamed of having enough money to create a pet sancuary because it hurts me so much to see the amount of animals suffering on the streets.

Yes I feel the same as you, I just want the comfort of knowing and having enough money to pay my bills and I want to be able to comfortably afford food to fill my fridge, and not have to worry about my budget all the time, I just want to be financially stable more then rich.

I think it all boils down to whether you are "content"!!!!!!!! Being content is being happy. "Rich" doesn't really have a value unless it relates to being happy and content. I know several people who have all the wealth and materialistic things in life but are not at all happy or content - but others refer to them as being "rich" because of their possessions. Once I recall doing a humanitarian project through the Lions' Club at a little village in Sri Lanka located deep inside a forest which wasn't even accessible by vehicle. From one point, we had to walk along a footpath about 2 miles carrying all the goods we took for these villages - consisting of clothes, school books, etc which were presented to us by well-wishers. When we reached this little village, we were greeted by the villagers consisting of 50 families, who were dressed in their best and had arranged a little ceremony for us. After we had distributed the goods we brought, we were hosted to a lovely but simple meal prepared by the entire village. Their only possession was their little houses. They do not have electricity and have to get their water from wells nearby. All this time there was something amazing I noticed among these villagers - they were always with a smile and seem to be happy and no stress. I realized that these people are the most contest people I've ever met with the little possessions they had - and this to me is the real meaning of being "Rich"!

Yes I understand because Iv had my share of struggles, and if I became rich through hard work or some other achievement I would be really thankful for such a blessing, and I defintly would not take it for granted and start spending like crazy, but if I dont become rich I would still be content as long as I am comfortable in my life and I didnt have to worry about every single dollar I spend and I could pay my bills and eat with ease.
