lotus flower

            I have take this photo, its a lotus flower, you like it?Tis plant is an aquatic perennial. Under favorable circumstances its seeds may remain viable for many years.
the roots are planted in the soil of the pond or river bottom, while the leaves float on top on the water surface. the flowers are usually found on thick stems rising several centimeters above the water. the plant normally grows up to height 150 cm and a hoirzontal spread of up to 3 meters. The leavesmay be as large as 60 cm in diameter, while the showy flowers can be up to 20 cm in diameter.
the digital camera is canon 350d + sigma 70-300mm apo dg macro.

                    Picture is quite nice. I like flowers and have studied some of their uses. Thanks for giving us all this info on the lotus flower.

                    I agree you can tone down the copyright notice. Just post a low resolution copy and if you must put a copyright notice on your photos you can be a bit more delicate with it.

                    This is a very nice photo. However I would love to see it without all that interferance. It takes away from the photo big time. What I do with my photos is I do a light transparent (outlined) copyright. So taht it doesn't take away from the image entirely and so you see the photo not the writing. Just my opinion. However from what I 'see' it's a nice photo.
