and heading off of here and back to sleep. I have been feeling under the weather since Friday night, and had a touch of the Flu, and running a fever, and all of my muscles hurt like someone ran over me. I just came home from the Doctor's had some lunch, and now going to go rest like he wants me to do. I was given a Cold Syrup with Codeine my husband needs to go fill, and have been given a note to take off work until Thursday as well. So when I am feeling up to it, I will be around, but if not you know I will be taking care of myself to make sure I feel better soon. So if you want to say a Prayer, they are appreciated as well. Have you been effected by this yet, and if not, what are you doing to make sure that you do not get this as well? ~~TINA~~

Hey Krause! You are doing exactly what you need to be doing! There isn't much else you can do when you have the flu! It is a miserable feeling to be all achy and tired and weak! I hope that you feel better soon! All you can do is what the doctor told you to do. Rest and stay warm and drink lots of liquids like juices and hot tea is the best thing for the flu! Take care and get well!

I got my flu shot, and feel pretty confident that I will not get it. The only year I have not taken the shot, I did get the flu. It was milder than usual. I used to get what you are describing. It felt like my bones were being pulled apart and ran a fever and had sore throats. I hope you get better soon.

It is best that you stay in bed and take care of yourself Tina. I am glad I am staying in the South this winter. There doesn't seem to be too much of this going around. Although, my sister and her family were ill a few weeks ago. It was probably very similar to the symptoms that you have. I hope that you will be getting better soon, and well before Thursday as the doctor thought. Good luck to you!

You take care of yourself and get a lot of rest. It's definitely is the flu. I have always told my friends and family if they ever get the flu it will knock them off their feet. I have heard people walking around saying I got the flu. I always reply I don't think so. If you had the flu you would not be walking around here like that. I had the flu and I have had it just once and I hope I never have it again. It knocked me off my feet. I couldn't sit up I couldn't lay down I felt real bad every bone in my body hurt even my te-tally hurt (if u know what I mean ). I sat on the side of the bed and cried like a baby I hurt so bad. I definitely know how you feel and I hope you get well soon.

I sure hope you are feeling better by now. The flu is not fun. I haven't really done anything this year other than stay out of the public as much as I can. I forgot to get my flu shot this year too. Hoping that I can ward off getting sick this year!

It sucks to be sick, get better soon. I haven't had the flu and only one small cold since I had my heart attack in 2004. I think it must have something to do with the medication the doctors make me take to stay alive. It must kill off all them thar little germs. I better not get sick now that I told you I don't get sick. :)

My sickness has pretty much been confined to sinuses. I guess I am lucky. My son is home sick today with a stomach ache, but other than that he is fine. I hope your cough syrup kicks in quickly and helps with your cough.

Vitamins are the best way to recover from illness and the flu, bioflavonoids are one of the best natural protectors to ease the pain of colds and flu-like symptoms. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Tina. sorry that your not feeling well.Tina I read the internet alot on health,I found a site that is quite interesting. Its about the acid build up in our body`s,and how it cause`s us to get sick all the time.I was amazed at how much acid I was putting in my body every day.I went to a alkaline and acid food site.I couldn`t believe what I doing to myself.I think I own about 20,00 shares in the tums people.{ha,ha} I haven`t gone on a alkaline diet yet, but I will real soon.I`m ordering a book on the alkaline diet by micheal murry,I think thats his name.I have just done some small things that he has sent me,for free, and I feel quite abit better already.I`m real heavy and I love to eat,but sense I started to alkalize myself,I don`t get hungry like I did before.I even lost 6lbs in about 4 days, and haven`t started the diet yet. I`m telling you this, maybe it will help your health, and keep that old flu bug in it`s place. GET WELL SOON!! the miracleman.

hi tina, you have to take a good rest. the reason why were having flu this season is because of the cold weather. here in the Philippines although it is a tropical country but recently the temperature falls down to 18 degree celcius. since we are not used to that most of the people are getting flu and colds. what we are doing is to take plenty of water, take vit C also and have a good rest. hope you will get better soon.

My employee encourages us to get a flu shot. I got one last year and this year too. Hopefully I won't come down with it! I really don't want to be sick. But, does anyone really want to get sick? The flu isn't something I would want to get. My daughter is ill with strep and a bad ear/sinus infection. She is down for the count too. Hope that you feel better soon Tina. Big huggers to you.
