Or any day thereafter. My son is one day shy of being 6 weeks old. So his pediatrician won't give him his shot. Why? because in our state if he isn't 6 weeks or older my son would have to take the shots again. His dr told us of may patients having to come back when their kids start school because the shots were given a day off. So my son had his WELL check and not the shot. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

And let me guess, tomorrow you have to pay your co=pay again right? Don't you think the doctors office would have thought about that before telling you he was going to have his well baby check and his shots today?

I would agree with you. However, mistakes happen and it is good of the doctor, at least, to catch it so that the parents don't have to do two rounds of the same shot.

That is silly. I wonder why in knowing this then why didn't he just not postpone the 6 week old check up for one day so you wouldn't be making more trips and it would cost you less money for a doctors visit. He should have told you this so you wouldn't have to make 2 trips.

That is something else. That is truly weird. I think it is a definite inconvenience for you. Nothing makes sense anymore it seems.

Well...LOL! That's just too fussy...what sort of shot is this one? They give babies some shots just a few days after they are born, don't they? Cheers and happy Mylotting

That sounds completly ridiculous..... fubar the date by a day good grief. Poor things don't want to get shots anymore than we do KWIM? I would ask next time that they let you know of such a goofy thing prior to and you'd wait til he was exactly or later for his shots.

I think this is silly. I can also believe it is true. Some nut job in some school district office could well insist that box A of form 7 say exactly and precisely on certain thing. Not that getting the shots a day sooner or later makes a difference in how effective the shots are... but you have those idiots in offices without the ability to focus on what is really important.

I think the receptionist should have checked this when scheduling your baby's well check up! I would refuse to pay for another office visit. This is just another typical example of people NOT doing their jobs!

I think the doctor is afraid if something happens on your baby, then it will be as illegal practices. Legally, the doctor will be very wrong.

First congratulations, so cute baby, from your post, we know that your baby has a well health, but, we also know one common sense, baby's immunity is not as well as an adult, in my country, china, all baby gave its birth have to have vaccine against the law, so i am a little inconceivable when you say like this, for your baby's health, I suggest you'd better ask the pediatrician to give him a shot, for your information,
