You are awaiting a bus in one direction, and 10 buses go past in the opposite direction!! You hope it is going to be a dry day for a game of tennis/cricket, and it starts to rain! In fact, when you are very keen for something to happen, almost 90% of the times, something contrary happens! What about you?

Sir, ‘Man proposes, god disposes’ is an age-old saying. So, I also face such situations. But I no longer, feel any irritation under such circumstances. Because, I know the greatest of Murphy’s Laws – “Anything that may go wrong should go wrong.” Why to pre-conceive the possibilities, which are not in my hands. Let the world go against me or my expectation, I will always find out a way to turn all odds into my advantages. At least, I try to do so.

Yes you are right. I tell the servant to keep the ash tray carefully on the teepoy which has a glass top. She drops it after hearding from me to be careful. I tell my assistants to bend their neck a bit to enter the room, they invariably hit the door frame. What you do not like, or for what you take precaution, it become futile, entirely reverse action. What is this unversal law called?

Another incident is: you step out of your house and lock the door. The phone rings!!!! anyway, ssh123, as prasanta mentioned, it is Murphy's Law, a generalised observation of the peculiar events that happen in most people's lives!
