How will you react to a proposal made to you, suddenly?

How will you react, if one fine day, your good friend came and proposed you all of a sudden? Or someone you knew at college, or school, or office, or in neighbourhood, or anywhere, came out and proposed you.
What will your reaction be if---
1) You also like that person, and want to say yes to him.
2) You don't know that person well, but you can give it a try.
3) You hate that person, and want to say no.
4) You want to remain just friends with that person, and nothing more than that.
5) Anything else.
How would you react in the above cases, how will you answer the proposal made by that person in the above cases, or any other case...?

Uh! I would have to say no I am married, but even if i wasnt I would think they were freaking nuts and tell them to get up and do something else. I would probably laugh so hard I peed in my pants. That is just weird. Does anyone really do that?

well you have given me a lot of cases to discuss on,,,
1.if i like the gal i will certainly hug her and say yes
2.well in 2nd case i will say to her that lets know eachother first
3.certainly not i didnt thought of you like that
4.i am really sorry but you will always remain a nice friend of mine
