How often do you buy a new cell phone?

My cell phone is probably about 8 years old. I never buy a new one unless the one I'm using absolutely doesn't work any more. I don't see the point in spending my money on something I really don't need. I don't need the bells and whistles for my phone. Just give me a standard cell phone with good reception. How often do you buy a new cell phone?

I believe every year or so, right now, my cells are not breaking anyone's bank and they are between 40 and 20. The nicest cell it is the one that I have now and it was a birthday gift

It depends on how well my phone work now. If the physical condition has worn away because it's fallen off many times, I think I need to buy a new one or get another second hand phone. Again it depends on my financial condition. I usually sell the old one, then I buy the brand new one.

That's good that you can sell the old one.

I have only ever owned one cell phone. It is a cheap prepaid phone made by Nokia. I may buy a new one later on but no time soon.

Every time I'm up for a contract renewal so about every 2 years. I'm dying for a blackberry to keep up with my texts and things. I love new gadgets!

Hi there Shar19 I think my phone is about 2 years old now and it is the first one I have ever really had. I like that it has a camera on it and I can download music onto it if I wish but don't use that very often, just when I with my kids somewhere waiting for something do I put it on, but it is handy. Apart from that I am like you, I don't see the need to buy one unless it breaks and need to!!

For my situation right now, i don't it is good to buy for a new cellphone. I have lots of things to be prioritize rather than spending my money for a new phone. As long as i can text and call that would be enough.

I hardly ever buy a new cell phone. I resently did though because my boyfriend talked me into it, he kept calling mine a dinausor since it was so old. It served its purpose and that is all I needed it for.

I seldom buy new cellphone. It depends on my needs. Most of the time, I use my cellphone to call and to receive calls. I am always online as well so I do not need a cellphone that has internet browser. I am using a Nokia Express Music 5610 right now. It is a good music phone and it has 3.2 MP camera. It is not too good like my wife's phone that has 5MP camera and has full internet browser but its cool.

I will change cell phones once in two years .. not because of the model getting outdated ... but getting troubles or problems with the models ... upto my experience, sure you will get a problem in any cell phone models within a year or two ... very rare that you wont get any problems for more years .. !!
