I was wondering how many people are allergic to bee stings? For my bees sting doesn't do more than a pain and sometimes leaves a red spot. Many years ago when I live in country side bees bites were normal daily happening as my neighbor was a bee-keeper. These days I have read and heard that there are people who even die from bee sting, is it true?

i rarely heard of anyone who feels just fine after having bee stings. I did many times at the farm and so as my siblings and friends. It really hurst and was so painful the stings seem to travel from my arm to my nape and it would lasts for a day or two. It was only when I was in college when I knew a very effective but traditional way to treat bee stings and this may sound odd to everybody. But if you wish to know then you may ask me and I will tell you (secret)

Well since you've asked for it then I may share you this, but again I would remind you this is such a little odd although this was found very effective and i myself had really tried it. Ok here it is: once you are having bee stings the very first thing you do is to get some juice from your genital and put it on to the affected area (of course you have to do it in secret; you might have to go to a bathroom to do that). I never believed on this before as I was thinking this was just one of my grandma's superstitious and traditional way of treating stings. However, when I really got one and it was so painful it came to my mind and I was telling myself why not try it anyway, nothing will lost if I do, so I did it.....and bingo! the pain disappeared few seconds after that.

I am allergic to them, but I am not deathly allergic to them the way my brother-in-law is. He has to carry one of those kits with him, and had to go to the hospital if stung. I just swell up around where I am stung, then I get really itchy and my eyes start to itch as well. Some cortisone (SP?) cream and some benedryl will usually handle the problem within a couple of days. The only problem is that benedryl knocks me out the way pain killers or muscle relaxers do some people. I can't take benedryl and drive or do anything like that. When I have to take it, all I can really do is sit around on the couch or go to bed. It usually puts me to sleep.
