up your children/grandchildren? We have a family friend of 17+ years. He is part of the family. We refer to him as "Uncle" I just got a call from him. He told me not to bring my son out in the cold. He would get my daughter from the bus stop. I am grateful. It is cold out, and the baby is sleeping. So this will be a help. And he does this 2-3 times a week regardless of the weather. My daughter is sometimes disappointed to see me at the stop instead of him. lol

hmm that does make you think in this day and age. myself, my wife, my teenage step daughter are on the pick up list, as long as one adult fried with a car. other than that.. i don't think i would want anyone to do it regularly, if we can't manage it within our own family then something has to change. the friend when in need is nice, but not as a replacement for my responsability. i hate baby sitters, erg. that being said, i surround myself with trusted family and friends, and in an emergancy i would trust any one of them.

I would let my husband pick my daughter up. I would also let my mother and my sisters pick her up also.

My mom only lets me pick up my little sister from school besides her and my step dad. That is great though that he will do this for you. I am glad you have someone to help out so you won't have to drag your baby out in the cold so often where he has a chance of getting sick.

I don't allow anyone to pick up my children besides my sister in law. I don't know my neighbors enough. Since we recently moved to a new area. Plus my kids are the only ones at the bus stop.

That seems like a very nice friend to be able to count on. I don't have many people that I trust to pick up my daughter. Perhaps, however, it is simply that there are few people who would or could pick up my daughter so I don't have a lot of need to put a lot of thought into it.

The only people who have ever picked my son up from school are me, my brother, and the babysitter. I would let me mom or my sister or my other brother pick him up. I can't think of anyone else I would ever let pick him up.

Hubby is the only other person who picks up our DD1 & DD2. No one else has safety seats or is able to care for our kids anyways. Though, my DD1 acts the same as your if DH is off of work & she see's me instead she's not happy cause that's DD1's lil time to herself with her daddy.
