I read on Yahoo that she did. I guess time will tell.

I got a copy of the New York Post. It says she's out. I did not get to read it yet, but it looks like for some reason she will not be up for it. When I read it, I will let you know why.

i was thinking about her yesterday & wondered if she'd changed her minn. for awhile she was all over the tv & i hadn't seen her in awhile. i don't blame her, don't know why she'd even consider it in the first place.

I heard on the news that Caroline announced she no longer wanted the job. I think she decided she no longer had a fair shot at it. When they started asking her about her finances, she balked. This gave the appearance that how she got her Kennedy money was off-limits and the prima-donna Kennedy came out. By the time that Caroline realized she would have to play by the same rules as all of the other boys and girls in Washington, it was too late. She had been blackballed. Some other more qualified names came into the race and outranked her. I think she would have done as good a job as any of the rest.

I think it was probably for the best. She just wasn't up to that job and it was becoming painfully obvious. I'm glad she had the grace to step down rather than subjecting the Democratic party to a debacle along the lines of Sarah Palin. Also, Caroline has the option of starting in a smaller way and working her way up.

I think she was in way over her head from the get go. I'm sure she is a very nice person, she is FAR from stupid but she just isn't a political figure, a last name doesn't put you in that mold. I imagine it was that realization that made her withdraw hername from consideration.

It's now being reported by the New York Times that she withdrew her name due to a problem with someone who had worked in her home, something to do with paying taxes or whatever. I don't know if this is true or not since her cousin had said this morning on "Morning Joe" that he thought it was due to her worries about her uncle, Senator Ted Kennedy. It's also just been reported that Governor Patterson will make his announcement tomorrow.

grammasnock,Thanks for passing that on.That is the first time that I heard that reason. But,for whatever reason that is up to her and I can respect that. That is true that the Kennedy's have never failed.
Maybe God will give Teddy a miracle and the tumor remains will just go away.
