Have you ever experienced the 'presence' of a ghost? Do you think they exist? And why? Thanks in advance for all responses

Yes I do believe in ghosts. My grandmother was in the hospital and I was staying at my cousins house..(she raised me) I woke up in the night and she was standing in the doorway of the bedroom. She walked out of sight and I got up and walked to the door but she was gone. I went back to bed and the phone rang. My aunt answered the call and it was the hospital. She had passed. I was only 12 at the time. They thought she would be released within the week so noone expected it at all.

I don't know really. It's not my only experiance. I know you've heard of haunted houses and such. Well I read that sometimes spirits actually attach themselves to people. I don't know how true that is but who knows.

Thanks again. I've never heard of that before - attachment. Would that be similar to someone's body being possessed by a ghost? Or do you think that is different?

Thanks for your story. How do you feel about that experience now? If that was your grandmother's spirit, why do you think she came to you?

Yes, I certainly do believe in ghosts. Have experienced them. I think they are restless spirits and people who are sensitive to such things will see, feel and experience them.

Yep. Since a short time after my grandson was born. And, strangely, when we moved into a bigger apartment the visitations stopped.

Wow, that's amazing. I can imagine it was a 'good' ghostly experience. It's kind of nice to know that your mother may be watching over you?

I don't believe in ghosts, really. I believe there are lost spirits and there are manifestations of evil that seek to frighten us and shake our faith. I don't think that anyone who has moved on to the afterlife would want to come back. But I do believe that there are evil entities that will harass people or guard certain places.

I think that truly evil people choose not to be with God. There is another place that centers on evil and that's where those people go to wreak their havoc wherever they can, trying to persuade people to the dark side. Where you have good, there must be evil, it's the law of the universe, everything has an opposite.

Hi dragon - thats a really interesting opinion that you offer. Most people have just said yes or no. So where do you think these evil spirits come from? Are you saying that you do not think they are connected to humans?

Yes, I do believe in ghosts. I really do think that they exist. I've had several experiences with one or more ghosts. I think that my first experience actually occurred when I was about 12 or 13. And over the last 7 or 8 years, I've had more experiences.

Well, some were somewhat frightening. I remember several occasions, when I lived in my parents old house, I would quickly get a glimpse of someone going into another room. And on these occasions, I was alone in the house. So, when I went to see who it was, a second or two later, there was no one there. Another time, I remember that it was during the summer. My parents' old house had air conditioning. But I always thought that my mom put it on much too cold. So, during the summer, I'd put a book on the trap in my room, keep my door closed and open my window. And on a really warm day, I remember being in my room, and not being cold at all, when all of a sudden, I feel cold, icy hands touch my arms. But the thing I was alone in my room. These are just a few incidences that I can't explain. Once or twice, I told my parents, but they didn't believe me. I can understand from my dad, since he's a scientist, and my mom, well, I think she's just one of those types of people, who think that there's a reasonable explanation.

Hi dodo19, that's really interesting. What sort of experiences have you had? Have they been frightening, or were they not too alarming?

I don't believe in it. I had seen them only in horror movies. But here in my locality, many priests use to act like ghosts in night time. I have never seen them too and I am not clear that it is existing also. Happy mylotting

Thanks for the response. Priests 'act' like ghosts? Do you mean to say that they claim to be possessed?

Hi UKShree. Yes I believe in ghosts. We are moved by energy and energy doesn't die so this energy can keep around us. Some times I feel a smell like perfume near me and I am alone. So yes I believe in ghosts. Also I like the stories with ghosts they are always good and funnies. Have a nice day.

I have experienced some very strange things in my time and whether there is such a thing as ghosts or not I really don't know, but I personally don't believe in them at the moment. All the experiences that I've had can be explained with the logical intellectual theory of human nature, including mass delusions and misperceptions. However, both my father and my sister claim to have actually seen an apparition while they were together and they both swear to this day that it was a ghost. Whether this was some kind of delusion or illusion brought about by certain factors we can't be sure of, but it's certainly possible that it was just some kind of effect. Naturally, our brainwaves are only tuned in to certain frequencies and our brainwaves can be measured by means of EEG. Who knows what would happen if we tuned our brains into a different set of brainwaves, like tuning in a radio - maybe we could tune ourselves in to perceive the ghosts around us!

Actually I never see a ghost eversince, according to some psychics only people with third eye can be able to see supernatural beings, so maybe my third eye is not active something to that effect. Well, there are some facts and evidences that ghosts do really exist. Some testimonies proved it, so as long as they don't harm people I think it is okay to believe their existence.
